They actually did this just before Twickenham replaced the entire pitch with a new natural/synthetic hybrid surface, hence they were allowed to completely destroy all the grass.

First of all, why? Second of all, I saw a reply that said that the construction worker at Twickenham were actually gonna change the grass or surface I think a few days after so they were allowed to play Car Rugby

Wow I live just down the road from Twickenham stadium and one day I was hearing car noises and horns coming from the stadium. I didn't think much of it but if I knew it was Top Gear I would have broken in and streaked.

Most people probably wouldn't be able to practice unless they're wealthy or get plenty of sponsors because of how expensive car repairs would get.

Andre Gon For big games I don't think it would be a problem because sponsors would pay for them. I'm talking about a middle class guy trying to train for it in order to qualify. Most people can't spend $8-10k for a new car for every practice game or $100-2000 for a repair each game.
