Parked in 1972, This 1963 Plymouth Valiant 2 door was trapped inside after a large fuel tank was put in front of the only garage door... until today!
Watch as we dig out this forlorn classic and bring it back into daylight for the first time since disco was on the radio!

This was exciting for me. My very first brand new car was a '64 Valliant 2 dr post with a 225 slant 6. Ah, those teen years. Great memories. I changed the hub caps out for "baby moons" and moved the shifter from the column to the floor, then jacked up the front tortion bars so the car sat like a "California raked" gasser. Thanks for the memories good buddy. 🙄
@bradzimmerman3171

Keith did the hubcaps improve performance, wheel covers are as useful as bumper stickers and engine covers best to throw away at nearest garbage can
@keithbriere
@keithbriere 2 жыл бұрын
@@bradzimmerman3171 thanks for the comment Brad. I was a kid just 17, when I got that car. Dad paid up the bill, and I paid him in full, incl. Interest, over the next 2 yrs. The hub caps were the first change, so it wouldn't look like I was borrowing my dad or mom's car. They would never put "baby moons" on their car. None of what I did to make that car "look mean" make It faster, although the Fenton floor shifter was spring loaded for fast 1st to 2nd shift. What great old memories. Cheers! ✌ P.S. the whole car, brand new was only $2,200.00

My parents’ first new car was a ‘63 Valiant. It was a gray four door and had a back window that was more gradually sloped. I, with the wisdom of my five years (born in 1958), saw the back window and shiny surface of the trunk and thought, “SLIDE!” I must have slid down the back side of that car twenty times before my dad caught me and gave me What For. Usually you have to wait a little bit for the first scratches in the paint on a new car, but Dad got his the first day. Sorry, Dad. RIP
