Oh, sweet Emily! This was sooooo good! I love those raw videos from you. I've been following you for close to two years now and it's been such an honor to be able to follow you and your journey. You are truly inspirational and such a beautiful human inside inside and out. I've been struggling with anxiety and depression for a few years now and I'd love to hear more from you on that topic. Thank you for posting. I needed it today. Sending you lots of love and good vibes!

Emily, I actually love this vlog. I have missed your videos, but also fully understand that you have needed to take a step back. It is amazing to have someone to relate to, you mentioned that we are only what we want people to see online, but I feel like you are so real. So many KZfaqrs and Instagram influencers seem to have an unattainable, perfect life and I love that you are honest about the tough spots and that sometimes life isn't rainbows and sunshine. I admire your strength and hope you keep posting, even if it's little car vlogs like this!

Please do more videos, I love listening to you. I too went through the loss of my husband. I was 38 , he was 47. I then raised our 3 boys...it’s been a journey- many highs and a whole lot of lows. As the years go by, it does get better, the hurt is not as deep, the tears lessen but I will admit that the holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, milestones are still so hard and will always be heavy on my heart. Thank you for sharing your story and thoughts with us. You truly are a beautiful person and I admire you greatly.Keep on sharing 💗

I appreciate the raw honesty. I’m trying to learn that sometimes we have to put ourselves first. Not sure what exactly that looks like for me in my life, but I’m trying to take baby steps. You need to do whatever feels and is best for you.

I'm glad that you're verbalizing this and putting it on a public platform. Yes many of us wish that we could be our old selves "from the before" but often that diminishes the person we are now. Your honesty and transparency is a beautiful thing

I think you look great in pigtails! I so appreciate your honesty. Evolving as a person is completely normal. Life is a journey through many ups and downs. I feel like it’s important to acknowledge the rough patches and celebrate the victories and also know that life will probably bring more of each! Be as transparent as you feel comfortable with and just know that you are making a positive impact on the world! ❤️

When my dad passed away, my mom was sad that my dad wasn't in a lot of photos taken. Because he was always the one taking the photo! So she always encourages us to ask other people to take the photo so you can be in it too because we really wish we had more photos of him than we do. And I LOVE what you said about posting the bloody photo regardless if people unfollow you. DO YOU. Loved this vlog Emily, you are awesome! And love the hair ;)

Sharing is for you, so let it out, in the way that you feel you can. If it helps others, great. But don’t think it all needs to be organized and explained perfectly. Getting it out there is better than trying for perfect. Xoxo you are strong and brave. Keep sharing the way you did today and you will feel mentally lighter. I get the anxiety part, talking always helps me too.

Hello! 👋🏼 I just wanted to say thank you for this... I really appreciate it. I know exactly what you mean, every word you said is very true... I recently had to delete instagram just because I've felt that I spent waaay too much time just looking and liking and not writing, which is what I love. I love to write but it's been almost a year since I've expressed what has been going through my mind. Writing for me, is very therapeutic and I have not written anything... Not even on paper! Also having 5 kids is challenging haha but if you can do it so can I! honestly thank you so much. I have so much to say too but thank you! God bless you and your beautiful family❤️

I really like this quote, "You are not the same person going into the storm as you are coming out of the storm." Or something like that. Through my own personal experiences, specifically grief, I've learned that I'm not the same person that I was 1,3,5 years ago and it's okay. I'll probably never be that girl again. It's time to embrace who I am today and share that part of me.

You’re really awesome, I enjoy whatever you post because you do feel like a friend! Which is odd like you said, definitely a modern experience; but also welcome because as a mama of little ones I end up feeling isolated often in this season of life. I feel like you’re such an authentic person and admire you for your strength and vulnerability! Also, I love the pigtails! My daughter constantly pushes me outside of my comfort zone too but it most always ends up fun. :)

I hear you. I agree with you. I feel the same struggle with posting and not posting, fretting over the different perceptions it could receive and that not being how you meant it. It's hard, comparison is the thief of joy. Do what's best for you, post despite the other opinions. Post anyways. Your comment matters, you never know. You're beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Im 33 yr old homeschooling mummy. I am finding that as time goes on, Im struggling with the in person playdates, polite conversations with acquaintances etc.. Basically the chats about nothing in particular, nothing important. Because Ive been through a lot and they haven't and so I know they cant possibly understand and engage in deep, meaningful discussions that I feel like I really need to have. (Ive tried and received the responses I expected). Because I cant do it anymore. I need to talk about my shit to move on from it, I need to talk to other women about deep rooted life issues. I don't have anyone in person to do that with, but having women online who are brave enough to share, helps me at the same time, gives me clarity or awareness that I may not have had before. DOES ANY OF THAT MAKE SENSE? Haha or am I just babbling. Basically what Im trying to say is.. that watching meaningful content is what many of us are looking for so please do be brave because it does help both you and us. Im going to try and be brave myself and finally set up a youtube channel because there really isn't any photos of my kids and I. And whilst I plan on being around for a very long time, I still want those memories as you mentioned. Sending you love xx

I just love hearing your take on things. You are so mature and have such a lovely way of explaining things that I would never think of myself. I really appreciate you and your view of the world and your discussions.

I've loved hearing you and your family and your story. Just be yourself lady! You're so sweet to give to others and protect your friends. I pray you'll feel free to be all that you can be! I've recently started identifying situations that cause me great anxiety and it's scary! So although it's not immobilizing, in the moment it steals the joy of the moment. Some who follow you want to connect and share in a friendship but some will be haters, because of being discontent with themselves and being jealous of who YOU are. Be you lady! You're beautiful, even in your pigtails :-) and I hope to keep hearing more from you about you, your family life and struggles as well as fun times. God bless!

I love the pig tails! I've just taken a 6 month break from blogging. Truth be told I miss it so much but I was so fed up of feeling full of self doubt and worrying why I wasn't measuring up to other bloggers. It just ended up making me feel so bad about myself.. So I stepped away. It's helped but now I have that burning desire to write & share. Loved this video. Really hoping you do more :)

It saddens me that you garner such negative comments whether you choose to post or not. It must hurt, and you obviously have a tender heart. I hope you can continue to find a way through the negativity and keep sharing this vulnerability. Even though I’m many years older than you and my children have just reached adulthood, there is something about you that I find really relatable. I really appreciate your willingness to be open for the sake of friendship and connection. You are fierce, lady ❤️

It's funny how the pigtails made you feel vulnerable enough to be brave! ❤ "Rock you"... all day, everyday! I've followed for a long while & appreciate your sharing. This tho ⬆️ the real stuff (anxiety, critical thinking that impairs & limits you/goals, vulnerability) ....that connects us all. I don't "know" you but I can relate. It's not so much "not caring what other people think" that should be the goal. It's not allowing our own insecurities & self talk to limit what we think & allow of and for ourselves. You can & should be free to be in the moment of anxious, upset, happy, confused, torn, ecstatic any and all of the things & not be a fixer for "us" at the same time. I need this reminder cuz I over think all the time. Be the you; that you are now! We're not meant to stay the same. I'm working on that evolution too. 💛 Heart you friend!

hey this video was forever ago, and I am not sure if this helps...but one thing I did for me recently was I made an IG account solely for the "heavier" or hard topics I wanted to talk about- so that people know exactly what they are getting and I don't feel like I have to dilute anything I have to say on the topics...I don't know if this might help for a while if you want to talk more about grieving, loss, mental health/anxiety, remarried life, whatever it might be. It helped me to have a super specific place to talk on it and say all the things. I wish you well!

It's great to open up if you feel like it will help you heal. Which is most important. Your human and it shows you are Real. I'd say you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. If you do it just do it willfully. Love the pig tails because your doing it for your girls. To show them your doing something with them. If I had a daughter I'd love to do it with them too. I'm sorry for the creepy followers. And jerks. And dealing with your husband's sickness alone. I'm so sorry about the loss of your husband. I've been taking time off the internet too so I'm sorry I couldn't try and give you some support when you needed it back then as well. I've only started following a little over a year ago. Take breaks if you need it but since your ready to come back we are happily ready to hear from you. Both venting, sharing and your great ideas. Your a wonderful mom and wife. So never think otherwise. Sorry so long. Responding as I'm listening. Love the family meetings. 😉

Thanks for the video. I feel the same way. I just started really using Instagram to be creative since I'm a makeup artist and also into fitness and fashion and I'll be 53 on Friday. It's usually the people I know that I think are going to judge me because sometimes it the strangers who are kinder than some people you may know. It makes me vulnerable BUT it's who I am and I'm finally not letting other people dictate how I feel about what I do. I'm creative and I share it and if people don't like it, like you said, they can just unfollow. It's also sad because I think when you first start out and are have a smaller audience most people are kind and the more popular you get, that's when the unhappy people make negative comment which I just don't get. But, please share and don't feel like you have to please everyone! It's not possible. And, the ones that love to see what you share are just waiting for you to do it! So, just think that you are doing it for them! Sorry for rambling, but I just want to give you the encouragement and support to just be you. Don't ever apologize for that:-) Thanks, again! Tracey

Heyy lady! I am so happy that you shared a video :) Been missing those, since I'm not a fan of the live ones (weird hours across the Atlantic hah). Funny thing about the tabs you mentioned. As I am a Capricorn like you (few days after you) I used to do that a lot too - keeping too many tabs open both literally and figuratively(or as the Bulgarian saying goes - trying to carry 2 watermelons under 1 arm), but after some therapy sessions my uber cool psychiatrist taught me a how to close them. If its related to people and unfinished relationships I write that person a real letter and I burn it and i forget and move on. If its a thing or a hobby i write down the pros and cons of it and decide if I will continue or not with it and I stick to my decision. Its a hard habit to make ,but if you succeed life gets a bit easier :) hope this helps you and i would love to see more vids :) Cheers! xxx
