You have brought back memories of starting out caravanning nearly 50 years ago when my boys were 2 years and the other 6 months. The first time away we just took what we needed from the house but then bought what we needed afterwards. You have made me very n😮ostalgic I only gave up after my husband died as it wasn’t the same on my own, but I really miss it.

Hi Helen. I love your caravan and the new curtains look great. I think organisation is the key to living in a small space and if kept clean and tidy, it’s so cosy. Having an outside awning is like having an annexe and brilliant for cooking etc. I wish you many hours of fun and enjoyment when you go away with family and friends or when it’s just you and Rob.💖🌸

Awnings are great unless there's rain forecast just before you're due to pack it up - then you spend hours stressing about if and when to take it down! All part of the fun though.

Love your caravan and your curtains are beautiful. The magnetic tiebacks will be ideal, i have them in my lodge. Love your solar lights. I bought these dock and bay towels when first seen on drragons den. Great for holidays as well. Shoe racks are a great idea. Youve given me some great tips Helen. I thank you. We moved from a 3 bed house to a 2 bed lodge. So space is a premium. Hope you have great travels in your caravan. ❤❤

Looks very nice . We never use the curtains in our motor van , just the blackout blinds . I was thinking about taking the airfryer , next time we go away . But my van is small . Hope Katie & family have fun in the van . 😘

Love the curtains- worth the effort! You spoke about items sliding around and putting tea-towels around them. You can get non-slip mats to go in car boots or there’s the “stuff” you put on trays etc. to stop things sliding off. Hope all goes well.

Very nice caravan and everything else too.. Roller blinds are nice too, and can adjust to all heights..and look very streamline, in a small space. ❤❤

Ah…I a G & T in the caravan! That brings so many memories! Tastes better! I also well remember making new curtains for our caravan. I was so used to making curtains but it did cause me alot of head scratching! An air fryer would have been a godsend but it was bbq in good weather and caravan cooker when it wasn’t! I am sure you will enjoy many breaks away. Once the awning is up….always grounds for divorce for us ….you will relax and enjoy.xx Liz

I’m literally at my sewing 🧵 machine watching your video 😂. I love your curtains. You really do nice work. One thing I’m sad about where I live is the lack of good fabric stores. We have two big box stores that sell some fabric but I miss the small shops that held treasures and good natural fibers. I’m so sick of rubber clothes and material offerings. I also love how you are styling your caravan-such a clever girl ❤

I’ve bought those caravan curtain hooks before in the caravan and camping suppliers shop near me. They all sell all those little bits and bobs particular to caravans 👍 only starting to watch your vid so I’ll get back to it 😃

Curtains are lovely. In our van, we've never closed them as we use the blackout blinds, so they are just there for effect.

We have a basecamp 2 and have also bought and use the same striped towels, an air fryer, an induction hob and a teppanyaki grill! We bought a tiny bin for the back door and a boot tray for shoes outside (oh, and lights for the awning!!). It’s great fun dressing up our little haven! X ps we have also used ikea for storage!

Lovely Vlog Helen ….your Van is looking absolutely beautiful…Have you named her ?…Ours is called Beth !…having twin Cockerpoos we have found a windbreak invaluable…gives you somewhere private to sit where the girls can be off their leads …Isabella do great ones ..we pop ours all the way around the door side of Beth which gives us a lovely garden area ( also prevents people walking over your pitch …( unfortunately there are numpties everywhere !) Also Adult only parks if it’s just you & Rob ….(not against Children ….but they do appear to be “free range “ while parents busy drinking wine & socialising in another area of the park …well away from their Darlings !! 😂😂….Have a great week…usual wet Bank Holiday here xx

Love my dock and bay towels they were originally on dragons den i think. When you go to ireland have you arranged assistance for your mum. I travelled with my 96 year old mum recently to Turkey and it made it so much easier for me and for mum. Mum doesnt use a stick but it is just so far to walk at some airports. It worked a treat 😊
