During my service 2 years ago the mobile engineer was checking the water system and heard water running when he looked inside the van water was everywhere on the seating area one of the joints was leaking. On last years service he said we had 30% damp reading in this area. This was repaired so glad you've spotted before anything major.

Good job done Martin. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but at least you got it sorted before you go away. Doing that whilst away would be a nightmare for you. Have a great trip and enjoy your time ;))

Great job on your piping a lot easer to get to the pesky yellow drain down, I understand that you are away at Holgate's If you fancy an evening out Morecambe are having a FREE sound and light evening down most of the prom, we live in Morecambe and will take a look around 6 ish tonight. Don't know if you are aware but you can get locking collets for the water pipe connectors. They just push into the gap between the fitting and the collar you push to remove, this prevents them from accidentally coming undone if knocked.

Hi Martin. At least you found the leaks now. Like you say, old fittings. Hopefully, you'll be all OK. Windowsrcreen, that's expensive if you haven't got cover. NEC, we were going to go, but what you said is ringing true for a lot of people. Your last comment few months back about going to NEC made me laugh out, " why go to the nec just go and open the cupboards on the caravans?" That was funny 😁 anyway have a great summer. Yep all sorted now Paul. We’ve only been to the NEC show once, far too busy for me. Would rather go to the local dealer, you can sit in the caravan for a while there. Cheers

Sorted Martin. Better than finding the leeks on site. Never noticed before on your stickers and cushions. Caravan Nut established 2018 how time passes so quickly. Think I've been following you from the start. Always found your vlogs interesting and helpful. Keep up the good work 👏

Nice reminder Martin, regardless of caravan age these fittings can fail and well worth periodically checking 👍.

Checked our caravan for going away Tuesday, after being all winter in the storage yard. Battery completely U/S even with a roof solar panel fitted. Took it home but wouldn't even take a charge. I have two spare 110 amp hour batteries though, that I was going to use when we got our campervan converted but got gel instead, not needing a vent. They are both quite new and kept topped up at home on the charger. Fitted one of those instead and a.o.k. now. I always take a large water container with a tap from the campervan for drinking water only, when we use our caravan as well, in case the caravan water pump fails, or we have a leak with the normal caravan water system. At least we wouldn't have to go home.

@TheCaravanNut battery changed, all aok now. Got to Bridlington and water pump wasn't working correctly at all, all I thought about was algae overwinter, so flushed it with puriclean overnight. Not that so thought the pump was u/s. Luckily a caravan repairer came on site for somebody else, I approached him about my pump. He inspected it and found that the inlet had come loose, just enough to suck in air, with travel vibration ? He re- fitted it and charged me nothing, even though I offered money. What a nice man !
