I got a question for you. How your air box get air in?? The cover for that box has screen vent to let the air in to your carb and theres filters inside that box as well.

My husband is having a problem with a 1995 Polaris Sportsmen 500. He starts it and it runs great then it just stops. Checked for spark and it's gone after stopping. Changed out coil. Did not change wire spark plug wire plugs into. Do you have any ideas? We sincerely appreciate your time and knowledge.

I know Polaris has an issue with a spark plug wires failing. I’m going to have to change them out on mine because it doesn’t work unless I hold it against the plug. Also it could be the fuel pump failing. I had to replace the fuel pump on it.

hey i have a 2001 polaris sportsman 500 and when i go to start it itt tries to run but cuts out and when i pull the choke it sometimes backfires. sorry for the spelling

Fuel lines might be backwards or something like that
