"What started as an experiment grew into a concept for an entire album. By exploring the random functionalities on some synthesizers we had not used for a while, we found sequences that were best suited for passive listening whilst not stealing focus. It appeared as if the randomness kept our minds focused and relaxed at the same time. For a few weeks we listened to the tracks over and over for hours while coding, emailing, packing and other tasks and found them very stimulating. We defined the sounds, harmonies and the frequencies of the random pulse generators and then let the synthesizers perform the actual tracks. Sometimes by using randomly generated sequences, sometimes by looped and randomly modulated envelopes." CBL 2021

❤❤❤ This album is actually very unique, and my favorite among others, and contains the keys to our subconscious. I have been listening to it for more than a year, and every time I find new states of emotion in myself. This is very valuable, this is the task of artists. Same here.. this one is nice to listen to, but I feel I could just do it myself on some synths and lush reverbs (probably even generatively).. the Derelicts album seemed more structured

Saw these legends at Ozora 2013 while Alex & Allyson Grey were painting live on stage. Had taken an unexpectedly high dose of LSD and will never forget it. An incredible experience. A few hours later I tried to have a shower but just ended up washing 1 leg of my dirty harem pants. Walking around with one really wet leg was funny as hell. Good times!

Hey guys, I used to email you every year from back in the early days like hydroponic and such. I just wanted to say I am still alive and I still listen. Not every day as I used to. I lost a friend one day and the music actually became a trigger for my despair and I stopped. However, this here is amazing and can easily see it entering my playlist daily again. :)

I think Bull of Heaven used similar randomness-based approaches when making much of their droning, dark ambient stuff, but IMHO most of it was simply too unnerving. This is much more peaceful.

This is so different than any other artist from this genre. I know I am only in the beginning of the ambient part but this sound design is made by a professional. It travels from one speaker to another and through my body. I have no idea how to make a bass like that. Please teach me sensei!

Im really surprised about hearing more meditative sound from them. Derelicts was beautiful, it grows year by year and it is possible that it's going to be my favourite CBL however I think some balance between the "melodic" and VLA's face of them was needed. Well done Carbons

CBL since The Path im really a fan of this guys work, OH! World Of Sleepers and Hydroponic G. Really dig into the ambience atmospheres of this new realease but from the ethereal sounds one thing that CBL surprises me was when they land in strong “beats” making ambience into state of the art Electronic, but this time is pure ethereal ambience like in Twentythree, that was they choice and is good, neverthless I was specting that beautifull intelligent beats!
