11 жыл бұрынCarbon Fiber Mau5 Head #2 - This is my second stab at a carbon fiber head, and not only did the build go alot better, but the quality is much much higher. This Mau5 head is made from a 2x2 twill weave aerospace grade carbon fiber.

Are you part of any forums where you share ideas and techniques on how to make each piece? I know you don't use molds because you said so before, and I'm baffled as to how you could've done it otherwise because your mau5heads are flawless! Guide me teacher!

Hey Andrew, you can get the fiber from alot of places just look for 3K 2x2 Twill carbon fiber.

How did you get the ears to snap into place? Did you use magnets?

Thanks! You could try the vinyl wrap but I think it would be very hard to wrap the globe with it, and create a clean seam.

The mouth is mounted on pivots on each side that allows it to rotate up and down.

Sorry for the late response. You can get the carbon fiber from alot of places, just look for 3K 2x2 twill carbon fiber.

Foam core yes and a piece of wood that slots into the head.

Seriously contemplating whether I should go ahead and get the Carbon Fiber Cheese Head Replica! Then again I checked out your flickr page and saw the Thomas Bangalter helmet... Brilliant craftsmanship and detail! Will the daft punk helmets be for sale in the future? If so how would the price differ from the Cheese Head? Incredible work, worth every penny!
