Carbon Fibre Mirror Covers - Jaguar XFR, XF High Quality Dry Carbon Fibre from Vehicle Revolution

Күн бұрынAfter receiving poor quality carbon fibre items off eBay, AliExpress, this time I decided to go to Vehicle Revolution, next day delivery and 100 % quality carbon fibre.
The 3M tape wasn’t good enough though, so used tiger seal, these will be staying on for sure lol.
Take a look at other items from Vehicle Revolution, they seem to have the best quality carbon fibre parts around.

Hey Shane. They look awesome on your XFR. Yeh, I don't recommend the AliExpress ones. They're rubbish and I just cut my losses. I'm happy with the gloss black on mine because it's a white car, but on yours, carbon fiber is definitely the way to go my friend. Nice job btw on the fitment. 👍

Oh yeah my heart sank when I dropped it, you can hear it in my voice when I say “fuuuuck!!” 😂 Damn clutch 😔 I’m happy with the way they turned out. It’s always a risk when doing stuff like this, got a few more things that is worrying me at the moment. But if I can pull it off then it’ll be worth the stress 🤜🏾🤛🏻

@@69racer69 there is one i like on autotrader its a 2013 black xfr but its £27k which is too much in my opinion, it is nice though with the speed pack and only 27k on the clock

I'd seen Hiltons video where the clip broke and kind of put me off, more worried about the quality of what I bought. Hilton has done some real great stuff on his posts, and I have done a few of them, biggest one was when I was going to plastidip my grille but he talked me into buying a properly painted one............Bumper off! Seriously...what a job that was.

Yeah the bumper removal is a pain in the ass. I remember having to do that when I changed my water pump on my first XFR. Hilton is a great guy, I still have a few things to do that he has done. I haven’t videoed some of the other things because he has done such a great job already.

I have one of these and I had same issue with fitting like you had. I couldn't find the way how to fit them using 3m tape, it just didn't look good, took the drastic measures, used super glue (not a good Idea) and destroyed the mirror caps. I ended up to buy full mirror covers instead, these "over the top" are nightmare. Anyway you've done the good job

Did your full replacements fit? I didn’t want to take the chance and have the clips break off. Super glue in a car is never a good idea, it’s too brittle and will break And is really only good for small areas.

@@69racer69 They fit fine, I can't compare with genuine Jaguar ones, but much better then over the top covers - looked ok from outside, but from driver's point of view I saw every imperfection especially gaps, it looked cheap. You've done the good job to stick them together with TS, but for anyone who would interested I recommend full covers - direct swap and no hassle with 3m tape or adhesive.

@@rsebik definitely direct replacements would be far better still. As long as they fit properly, it’s that gamble I didn’t want to take.

Hi Shane I have fitted the 20mm wheel spacers to my xf and they look great I've ordered the indcaters for wing mirrors then having alloys refurbished and done gloss black

@@markcammerer3827 I bought some t from AliExpress, but the prices have gone up a lot due to shipping. I have a video for the diffuser, I should have bought it from vehicle Revolution instead, but I’m not sure if they have any or not. There is also Powerful UK that sell diffusers but their fins aren’t as big, I like the RS style diffuser.

So these didnt fit either Shane.Like the spoiler and diffuser.Dont think I will bovva tbh. Btw....how will you change dynamic indicators to smoked when you've used tiger seal on the mirrors? I thought that was permanent.Great vid tho.Keep up the good work.

Yes these fit, just the tape wasn’t strong enough, they fit perfectly. The under caps still in clip just like I clipped them back onto the car. I’ll be able to unclip them again as normal. Did you miss the end of the video?

@@stevojagman ohhh nice colour 👍🏻 Personally I think carbon fibre goes with any colour. But it’s personal preference. I did the video to help others if they want to go down this route, it’s by far a recommendation to do so. But wanted to show the quality that Vehicle Revolution have over the others. I wish I had got the diffuser from them. Would of been so much better.

@@69racer69 In garage at the moment.Water in central fuse box.Sooooo gutted.Gonna be over a grand.Car in Jaguar for coding.Oh joy.Only had it for 1 weekend in last 4 weeks.Garages soooo busy. Good job I have a van.

How you keeping Racer 69, hope you are keeping well? I need your advice if you don't mind please. I have just installed a brand new replacement driver's side HID headlamp, which is all working nicely, but noticed the alignment from the main beam is slightly out, compared to the left hand side. Is there a way to adjust these headlamp's?
