What was so great about The Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes cartoons is that they were so stylized and well done. Really made me think of Bruce Timm's animated universe for DC. The idiocy of these two incredible shows getting thrown away is something else man. Well, Marvel today in general is pretty sad but that is a whole other subject. GREAT VIDEO!

Y'know, I've never heard someone sell me so hard on what makes Spidey's younger years so special. As a 90es kid, I grew up with a Spidey who were a family man in the comics and a young adult in TAS. The kind of guy who had gone through years of ups and downs that kept tearing at him, yet always got back up because of his sense of responsibility to his loved ones. As such, I grew to value Peter's ability to grow and mature in spite of his flaws and crushing tragedies. As a result, I very much resent whenever his comics incarnation gets "reset" back to something that tries to capture the spirit of the Lee/Ditko era, since having him spend his life as an eternal batchelor who lives with his immortal aunt and flounders his way through shabby jobs just feels like it undermines his life's journey. And yet, hearing you wax poetically about what you enjoy about this show really warms my heart. The Romita-through-JMS Peter will always be *my* Spidey, yet even I can admire the passion that other people have for other eras. Thank you very much for putting your heart out there!

For me the biggest loss from this show was not seeing the "Night Gwen Stacy Died " DTV movie that Greg Wiseman was planning. He indicated that story was going to take place during Peter's college years and that loss would bring he and MJ together. Also I couldn't help but notice the blade that came out of the Goblin's glider, I always had a suspicion that was going to eventually kill the Goblin.

The show actually did have the smartest version of Rhino outside of the comics. And I love how they made Tombstone a crime Lord like he actually is in the comics, now only if there was a version of him that actually did his trademark whisper speak

This is probably an obscure reference but true for both, Spectacular Spider-Man was the Transformers animated of the Spider-Man franchise, Both shows where prematurely cancelled more so Spider-Man, both had amazing toy lines and both had incredible art style and animation in the actual shows themselves

this show was phenomenal, arguably the best adaption of spider-man outside of the comics, such a shame it was short lived. I was so happy to see josh back as spidey in across the spider verse.

I’ve watched Spectacular and the 90s series. Honestly, I much prefer the 90s show. I didn’t care much for Spectacular, it was just all right.

This is also my favorite Spider-Man series. I love the story telling, how they interwoven all the characters and the villains weren't just your random villain of the week. I just watched the last episode and I absolutely loved how they tied The Osbornes, Donald Minken and the Chameleon into keeping you guessing who the Green Goblin actually was, even though every long time Spidey fan knew the answer to that question. I just loved the plot twists of the story. Also, this is how I always imagined the Green Goblin. Before this show, the 1967 Spider-Man was my favorite, although to be honest, season one, before Ralph Bashki took over was it's best. A lot of Spider-Man fans prefer the 90's show, but I was never a huge fan of it as the animation, even for it's time was a bit sloppy and the storylines were uneven. Just my opinion of course.

Too bad we didn’t get Mysterio or Kraven figures. I can understand Black Cat, Silver Sable, Chameleon, Tinkerer, Hammerhead, Tombstone, and Silvermane not being made into figures, Molten Man could have had potential as a figure but I’m not sure compared to Kraven or Mysterio.
