I think it’s just a natural reaction for most. Plus the area is higher level and the dragon looks like it just magically appears due to the bridge length and render distance for enemys. So you start riding across the bridge and BAM, there’s a dragon

Tad late, but you can turn off the "gesture motion controls" in Settings to avoid that. I've seen a shocking amount of people that never knew that....

I like how the character who chose the "Prisoner" archetype is shown to be decidedly better at the game than the character who _I think_ chose "Vagabond," but she's also shown dying just as often. It's a great representation of how hard the game actually is.
