Carburetor fix on Classen CA-18 aerator

Ever let a small engine sit for 2 years, only to discover it won't start? Some people will get rid of the small engine when all you need to do it clean the carburetor!
While this was on a Home Depot style Classen CA-18 aerator, the carb is the same on many small engines. This is a Honda GX 120 engine, which is extremely common.
Aerators are not cheap (this was $900 used at Home Depot), so this free fix was well worth it! No special tools needed as you'll see. I was able to use the tine of a stiff metal brush to clean out the part that was clogged. A pick was too big.

This is a great video. Totally saved me on the day I needed to aerate and seed . It was working fine and then when I turned it off it wouldn't start again. Once I cleaned the carburetor It started right up. Thanks so much for posting!

The only criticism I would give is once you take out the jet valve you should take the jet underneath it out also and clean it. Once you take the valve out there’s a jet underneath and the jet has many little holes in it that need to be cleaned also. Otherwise great job.
