So with your conversation on Crystal in this episode it really dawned on me how her card is one of the most off themed abilities of any card in Marvel Snap. Her ability needs to be changed immediately. Especially after Magik's buff. Her ability in the lore of Marvel Comics is that she can manipulate the elements of the earth. Fire water earth and air and changed them. Her on reveal should be very similar to what Legion's ability is going is except more random. On Reveal: if this card is played in the middle location, change all three locations into new ones. This would align with her actual character ability in the lore of Marvel Comics. The one she has now simply does not make sense. Card draw is important, but her ability is lackluster and makes zero sense.

What if Vision was changed to: 5/7: "You can move this each turn. Nothing can stop you from moving or playing this to any location." Basically he's a big jeff then. Thematically, he's Vision. Vision can change his molecular composition to pass through walls. Also, he's a robot, so Professor X shouldn't be able to stop him.

I'm with you Alex, I've been using Crystal more and I'm surprised she's proven useful! I've been using her in a Iron Man/Onslaught/Living Tribunal deck. Since all three of those cards are essential, Crystal is great because I can use Magik turn 3 and Crystal turn 4 to up my odds of getting those. Even if Im missing one of those, Iron Lad can cheat out one of those effects too. It's a great deck! Other than against Spider-Ham

Part of me thinks that simply changing Absorbing Man's ability to "Copy the text of the last card you played" would not only be perfectly in keeping with the character's canon, but would also allow for him to be in a wide variety of decks. The other part of me wonders whether there are combos that I'm not thinking of that would be too OP, and (if not), whether he'd STILL get cut for other cards that usually run in those decks.

I like the idea cause then you can copy cards you couldn't previously such as collector or dracula, but you would then need to rework mystique cause he'd make her a dead card

Always look forward to these weekly SNAPchats (though it completelt slipped my mind this week so it was a pleasent surprise to see a new episode when i opened YT). Im juat so glad i hoarded tokens before the spotlight cache update. Now im able to just buy any of the next 4 to 6 cards i want (depending on their series ofc) and can just hold my spotlight caches for a week with 2 or 3 really good cards/variants in the next couple of months while avoiding any bad rng by sniping new cards on weeks the idds are against me.

Honestly, I think I'd make Vision cheaper but Captain Marvel have more power. The former needs more time on the board to make it fun, while the latter is really a big threat to locked locations. I love Captain Marvel's art, so I try to use her in control/lockdown decks, but unfortunately the power creep plus Jeff has made it pretty difficult for her to actually impact those locked locations as easily as she once did.

A little absorbing man trick I use is playing him on 3 or 4 copying nothing. Then odin him on 6 and he copies whatever I played the turn before Odin. Or even Zola him on 6 with no ability and he copied whatever you played the turn before. Sneaky way to make him copy something a little better.

I've had Jeff pinned for like 5-6 weeks now, waiting for him to either drop or to make up enough tokens to grab him, been stuck hovering around 2-3k tokens ever since the cache changes. He's one of the few cards I'm missing that I really want to get :(

Magik as a 3 on turn 5 was rough if they location switch it with storm or scarlet witch/reality stone when you wanted to set up for the power 7 turn.

Soooo, we got the fix for the rando spotlight pull, cool cool... but 21:31 is anyone going to talk about fixing the collector caches, specifically the resource gain? Because they are pure trash, feels horrible to open, and I have zero intention of opening any of them until SD gives us a fix.

So for what its worth you can in fact use her effect on t6 It has to come from lockjaw that's how I keep doing it at least. I suspect from ghost rider would also work and Phoenix or hela in that same concept. But fr in lock jaw magic activates on 6 if its pulled from lj

I really think the change to Magik was a mistake. It is highly too ubiquitous now. If you wanted to play fair decks, just forget it.

Finally got lockjaw to wrap up my series 3 collection. Started playing when zabu was in the battle pass and bought the next one just before zabu was nerfed. Thinkill wait for x-23 tho

Trust me, any 6 k token card is worth it as long as you will enjoy whichever deck it is going into. I've bought enough 6 k cards just to stop playing that archetype it is in (Galactus for example). On the other hand, I also bought Thanos for 6 k and i'm currently running Cozy's King Thanos ongoing deck which is really fun. Win/loss rate doesn't matter since I enjoy coming back to the game because of it.

Here's my opinion for Vision and Captain Marvel. I do not think it is good to keep dropping cards into 4-cost because a card should not be good solely from the synergy with one other card (zabu). A better change, is to add a buff or a bonus for using these cards' abilities, because that's the flaw. It does not feel useful to move vision, and captain marvel does not have enough power for her ability to make a difference. My suggestion is to keep the current stats, but plus 1 or 2 power if their ability is used. This adds purpose to their ability, but it also (for vision) creates a 'ramp move' deck because you want to activate these abilities more. More importantly, regardless of if this exact change happens or not, it is important to buff ability strength to keep 5-cost viable and well-rounded rather than to reduce cost.

Their take on Magik is so interesting to me. I find it odd that they seem to be so against surprising your opponent with a turn 7 but they seem okay with things like ramping into Prof x, and then Spiderman another lane effectively making it so the opponent can only play in one lane. Or how about storm into Legion just ending the game a turn early. Both of those combos seem way more oppressive to me when marvel snap is built around winning 2/3 lanes than the idea of on turn 6 adding an extra turn. Most decks seem equipped to play to 7 turns whereas only specific decks can fight their way out of being locked out completely of 2 if not all 3 locations with Legion Storm or even Legion being played into the Vault. Granted I wasn’t around for the beta days so maybe it is as bad for the game as the devs say it is but to me it’s just seems like they’re okay with some oppressive combos but not others which doesn’t seem consistent to me.

Hot Take I agree with Dera that storm shouldn’t be playable on 6. It’s the same concept in my eyes if you surprise your opponent by saying there an extra on the final turn then by that same standard it also doesn’t seem fair for the opponent to expect there to be an extra turn just to snatch it away at the last second

I dont completely disagree, but Magik (when played) consistently and fundamentally changes the match to be longer. Its not a bad idea because the counterplay otherwise would be just playing the rest of the match out. On the other hand the issue is that location cards either need risk (I can reality stone a storm lane, Stone and witch are dependent on rng) or meh stats (snowguard, rhino, Legion) otherwise Magik is very well the best card in the game and makes this mobile game take longer to play lol.

I really feel like the Tier List on Untapped for the individual cards is pretty bad. I wouldn’t focus on it too much. I would prefer a general conversation on good cards (using the tier list or just off the cuff).

For someone who’s only missing a few cards they want, would you recommend using tokens instead of spotlight caches? If the new card is series 4 and the only one you want, it doesn’t seem worth using the caches.

I am not opening a damn reserve until they buff the economy. I do not care if I am waiting 3 months, a year (if I am playing by then). The only spotlight I want in the coming weeks are Thanos which I will have 4 spotlights saved up for.

You guys sleep on Gamora every week, she’s a surprise card. Easily the best card in the game for me. It’s crazy that you guys never bring her up, play her with Jean grey plus a 1 drop on turn 6. It’s an insane consistent amount of power

Mirage seems like a pretty sweet generically good card. Especially if you like the s.h.i.e.l.d type decks.

Hmm… getting an extra 1000 tokens a month isn’t really putting tokens back on the menu sorry. That’s still only about 1800 tokens when we use to get 4000 tokens a month. Because most will just save 4 caches for one weekly drop.

I don't understand why creating turn 7 on turn 6 is bad, but killing limbo on 6 is ok. Creating an extra turn is more positive than the game ending. The lock in snap mechanics with destroying limbo is bad too.
