(SUB ENG) La cardatura è una delle tecniche che si possono adottare per la preparazione della lana per la filatura. In questo video, utilizzando come fonte principale il Trattato dell'Arte della Lana del XV secolo, ho cercato di ricostruire la tecnica utilizzata nel Medioevo per cardare la lana e ho parlato di quali siano gli strumenti corretti da utilizzare: lo sapevate che i cardi vegetali non venivano utilizzati sul fiocco di lana?
Carding is one of the techniques that can be used to prepare wool prior to spinning. In this video, using as my main source the Treaty of the Wool Guild of the 15th century, I tried to reconstruct the technique used in the Middle Ages to card wool. I also investigate which ones are the most suitable tools to use: did you know that teasels were not used on the wool locks?
PS: mi sono dimenticata di indicare le quantità di acqua e olio utilizzate per la cardatura: il rapporto contenuto nel Trattato tra lana:acqua:olio è di 42:1:1.
