This has nothing to do with the previous show as this is a new era. This new anime is trying to cater to the nonplayers as well. While they are doing that it is still a card game just remember that.

I have to agree

As someone who has dabbled in many many TCG's I have to agree, there's just this certain thing about Vanguard that makes every little thing you do feel heavier during a match, it's not just the trigger luck or c-blast resource management, but something I can't quite pinpoint that makes Vanguard feel not just unique, even with bushiroads other games with triggers, but feel soulful, if that's a word. I've played everything from Bakugan to Magic to Keyforge to Yugioh to Weiss, and nothing feels as satisfying as a game of Vanguard.

Wholeheartedly have to Agree. At very least Vanguard has taken some of the best elements of other card game and made it more engaging which I must applaud!

@@Xarphor Feel the same my dude. I play MTG for fun and I play Master duel actively. I've played Buddyfight in the past, DBS, and even a couple other dead card games, but nothing beats vanguard. Even if the game dies, I doubt I'll stop playing. There's just something about it which is meaningful. I think it might have to do with the games comparison to real life. There's an element of luck, but also a stronger element of choice and circumstantial decision making. Tiny decisions add up over time, and unfortunate circumstances could just come around to end it all, or not, but the point is to be okay and as prepared as possible either way. There's essentially no point in scooping, because there's always the possibility that you'll be able to bounce back. The games literally not over until your dead. I think the G anime captured this well, "Embarking on a brand new frontier. Found here are infinite possibilities. We decide it for ourselves. Every choice we make leads us to the future. Little decisions have a big impact. I don't have to be the person I was yesterday. By my choices I can become whatever I want."

Considering Vanguard has always had BL undertones in it, there is a slight possibility CLAMP will make at least one character gay.

Apparently they really do? More so than G? I agree with you mainly because it doesn't feel like a card game anime. I just find it funny since people complained G was too much talking and this is just 99% talking with no fight animations now. Also the fact Danji sacks more than Chrono and the latter checks more from strides, and people like Danji more. Pretty much the Kai effect where if you're cool or edgy your sackiness is ignored.

@Justin lol proper show? This show has deviated so far off the beaten path that made vanguard what it was. They don't even play the game til like the last 5 mins of the show & when they do it's just them standing around & then like 5 seconds of actual units fighting.

It's a card game anime, no one gives a crap about character development, it's all about the game. They turned vanguard into some kind of lame ass slice of life bs
