For those who don't know, Babush was inducted in Parrikar's government when he became a MLA for the first time on a regional party ticket. Later when Babush had cases against him, Parrikar sacked him reducing the BJP to a minority. Parrikar chose values over power.

It's not about him taking his father's seat, had that been the case, he would have contested right after Manohar Parrikar's death. However, a BJP karyakarta Siddharth Kuncalienker was BJP candidate then. Now you have a rape accussed Babush Monserrate as Panjim candidate and his wife too has been given a ticket. So don't talk about dynasty.

It's not about nepotism. This guy has potential. He's an extremely intellectual and learned person. One does not need experience to join politics. The more experienced and shrewd politicians have used their knowledge only to mint more money and to fool the people. A person who is honest, sincere and educated is anytime better in politics. This guy Utpal is a down to earth, simple, hardworking and a genuine person. He is a better candidate not because of his surname, but because of his qualities. His entry should be supported by all goans and look at it as a step towards cleaning the dirty politics going on irrespective of which party it is. And looking at the ground reality the BJP will soon know its mistake.

Manohar Parrikar was an accidental politician. He was very well educationally qualified, highly principled and strictly honest. It wouldn’t be far from truth that he was moved away from Delhi as Defence Minister because probably BJP felt that he wasn’t in the same page on the Rafale deal! His son sounds a chip of the old block and the father kept him out of politics. He is counting on having inherited his father’s DNA

Mr. Utpal do you agree to the decision of your late father of closing of mining (which is the backbone of Goa) and thus causing Misery to thousands of people and also affected economy of Goa to large extent.
