Passionate about cricket, he played in the Ranji Trophy but later dropped off from the Indian cricket team. With his wife Rasika, he started IISM, turning his love for sports into a pioneering venture. His 'odd' career journey from cricketer to entrepreneur is full of surprises and inspiration. खूप छान ओघावत्या शैली मध्ये तू IISM चा कॉन्सेप्ट कसा तुमच्या आयुष्यात निर्माण झाला व कश्या पद्धतीने IISM चा प्रोग्रेस झाला हे सांगितले आहेस ते खूप प्रेरणादायी आहे. रसिकाची तुला मिळालेली साथ फक्त moral support पुरती मर्यादित नाही तर प्रत्येक पावलावर तीचे योगदान आहे. तुम्ही दोघांनी मिळून खूप मोठी मजल मारली आहे आणि यापुढे आणखी मोठी मजल मारण्याची क्षमता तुमच्यात आहे. तुम्हाला दोघांना आणि IISM ला मनःपूर्वक शुभेच्छा.

A remarkable achievement. Not at all easy for a sportsman to become a run an educational institute, in any field. You need different skill sets and perseverance. It is extremely difficult to start something from scratch (and a totally new concept for our country) especially after achieving a very successful sports career. Difficult to show the same perseverance shown in the first venture.

But harsh reality is ki eke Kali no doubt scope hota sports management cha.....pan ajkal various mba college institutions faqt paise kamavayala kahihi fees charge kartat....jiki eka middle class indian la affordable nahiye...and yes there are no jobs right now....even IIM graduates are not getting placements..
