@@Blurris. The whole used car market is overpriced to the point that is better to buy new. However, on the GTR, "new" means $20-$40K mark up price for a total of around $160K for a car that's been virtually the same since 2008?!?! Yes, overpriced! The only ones salivating and praising Nissan are the bunch that haven't owned one and realize that it is just like any other car with very capable fast acceleration. But that is it. Now there are cars like the M4 beating it out of the box. The GTR interior is dated, the transmission noisy, room is tight, front clearance sucks, disk brakes crack, and all comes with the getho support of budget car manufacturer, Nissan. Bought mine in '16, a 2014 BE FBO/e85 for $75K and 9K miles. Now, it would cost $90K with 30K rough miles on it. Yeah, no thanks. I went ahead and dropped $103K on a fully loaded M4---> day and night change. I'll never looked back, I scratched that GTR itch, now I've moved on.

Myth: GT-R is now too old and couldn't keep up with it's rivals. Fact: there are serveral sides of performance measures in automotive industry. But lot of people measures it from straight line speed and track performance. In case of track performance, lot of car makers attempts records at Nürburgring to prove there capabilities. So GT-R's main rival of course the 911 Turbo S. Hope you can remember Porsche and Nissan fought for Nürburgring records back in the days. In case of the Turbo S, 992 is actually slower than the 991.2 (source - sport auto and Porsche also confirmed it). Lap times are 7:17.1 and 7:17.3 respectively. GT-R caught up the 7:18-7:19 mark already in 2012. After 2017 updates Nissan didn't tested it at the Nürburgring (because it'll reduce the value of the Nismo version). But from independent tests at other tracks, updated version was 0.5-1 seconds quicker. And now with carbon-ceramic brakes, lightweight wheels and etc. There's no way the Turbo S would keep up with it. so yeah, GT-R is technically faster than a 992 Turbo S around the Nürburgring. And also can keep with a Audi R8 in a straight line. I got little bit more respect for the GT-R than the Turbo S, because it's half of that Porsche's price.

With all due respect, who gives a damn? Unless you're a talented track demon these numbers are largely irrelevant. And owners of either car don't need hot laps to validate their purchase. For sure the GT-R presents one of the best price/performance ratio, but at the end of the day it really doesn't matter if all that power isn't in the right hands.
