Even I was underestimating carey and marsh. Now Green (Wellington) , Marnus(Christchurch), Marsh(Christchurch and Melbourne) and Head(Adelaide) knocks under pressure. Smith G. O. A. T. I hope this B. Feeling pretty embarrassed as a NZ supporter. Yet again we have shown we just can’t do it against Australia. The gap between the 2 teams isn’t as big this. I knew they were going to choke this morning. About time we take a lesson from Australia and fight until the bitter end. The game was NZ’s to win

I did like those Kiwi pitches. They looked like nasty green tops on day 1, but gave both batters, fast bowlers and spinners a chance during the match. I’ve got idea how they thought the 2nd test was a sell out; the ground has no venue fencing. You just walk across the park and sit down wherever you like on the hill. A total contrast to grounds in India with the tall fencing at the boundary to keep the spectators from invading the pitch.

@@chrisrussell5690the team is lacking in young top order batters and there is no replacement for Lyon but there are plenty of bowlers and all-rounders coming through. If they can find some runs the team will be fine.

There were opportunities to rotate the quicks this summer. Australia has plenty of quicks and all-rounders. Australia doesn't have a lot of quality top order batters.

@@kosan2875 they have the existing batters but there aren't a lot of quality young top order batters coming through the FC system to replace them. Ollie Davies, Aaron Hardie and Beau Webster are all really promising but they all bat in the middle order. The Middle order has a log jam but replacing Smith and Usman at the top is going to be a problem. Will Puvokoski was supposed to be the young batting prodigy but he keeps getting concussion.

I wouldn't get too carried away that was probably the weakest NZ attack fielded in years, one was a rookie another wasn't upto international quality and another and the Cpt is way past his due date, that left them one effective bowler......
