How about a cultural square in the centre of the city with an Opera House, Theatre, Museum and Library? Many European cities have that.

In an alternate reality, the oslo opera house would have looked good there as part of a regeneration project of an old derelict port.

Yeah but theres always the moral strugell cause of the launcher, do you really want to give the Capitalist Pigs of Paradox more money? I bought every dlc at sale but when the launcher got added I simply couldnt justefy supporting this comapny...

@@aturchomicz821 My comment was more of a joke than anything else. You're right, what Paradox did with the launcher is absolutely disgusting and, as many other things they have done in the past, possibly illegal in the EU. No one should support these kind of practises and many of the dlcs are kind of pricey anyways. If you have too much money that you want to spend on CS, I'd suggest donating some to your favourite mod creators

I suggest you take a look at this place in Singapore called "jurong island" it's a reclaimed island made mostly for refineries, there's a checkpoint on the mainland for security. there's also another island nearby called Pulau Bukom where most of the petroleum are stored is the tanks...

A hack that I use when a building get destroyed is: select its wreckage and using the reset option of Move it mod, the building will reset to its default state

Massive progress with this harbor! 🔝 I would just suggest to remove the vanilla vehicles and change the North American trucks with more European ones. They can really improve the city in terms of realism (yeah I know it's not that easy to improve something nearly perfect lol )

Love the series man, you are the first channel I ever pressed the infamous "bell" on :D. Are you planning on updating the asset list anytime? Your series inspired me to try and build a realistic city and your list and videos help enormously with that.

My asset lists are pretty much up-to-date. Whenever I subscribe to any new assets I immediately add them to the collection.

0:20 the roundabout has one bit between the road hidden by the trees and the other one on its left that goes in the wrong direction. See the truck coming in from the left instead of going around it from the right?

Looks nice! I think Nydal needed a little more proper industry. This more modern industrial/commercial area is kind of depressingly real - not the prettiest, but still interesting in its own way.

There is an option with move it to restore destroyed or abandoned buildings it is the circle with two clockwise arrows I think. Also some casual PO use at 5:56 which I like to see! Nice build and I hope that you are still inspired to do more work in Nydal soon. If not I can wait though!

I still have a ton of ideas for Nydal, the biggest de-motivator is the loading times (we are near the 20-30min mark these days).

@@strictoaster that loading time is horrible and I know that you've probably done everything you can to make it better. My loading time is about 12 minutes with 3700 assets. I end up watching stuff in my watch later playlist or doing something else while the game loads

The break waters are completely unrealistic. The work you did is nice but where you have them and their length and placement is all off, it's way too tight. No Ship passage is that narrow unless it has constant support from land ie. the Panama Canal or tugs alongside.

The gap is small for those giant vanilla ships, but unfortunately I can't turn those off at this time.
