Another bunk could be installed for one more guest !!

I am about to make a bunk, however i think im gonna let the corss member plywood float in smaller sections between the 2x4s and have a lip to be able to catch the ply so it stays where its supposed to. That way you can take down the middle plywood sections, the 2x4s and matress all down in pieces and not having to lift the whole weight of everything at once. My old bunk beds growing up used thos method as they were height adjustable and could easily jusy pop the center plywood out and change the height

Nice Job.... I am in the process of converting an 8x16 v-nose cargo trailer into an RV and Mobile Sign Shop. I am just starting the walls and cabinet construction. I just sold a 15-passenger shuttle bus that I lived in for 3 years and traveled out west during the winters. I had to sell the shuttle bus because I purchased a large format color printer to make contour cut decals/stickers, koozies, t-shirts, magnetics, banners, mousepads, etc. The large format color printer would have taken up a lot of storage space so I needed to get something bigger. I did a complete conversion series on the shuttle bus from the ground up and now am doing a new series on the cargo trailer conversion. They are on my YT channel.

Can you do a detail video of step by step to the fix you made?

I really like the parallel bars of the new build but I'm wondering if there is another way if catchment? When you say its your most comfortable bed do you have video of its construction?

After working on it some more, I got it to work much smoother. I do not have any videos of how it is built but it feels a lot like a hammock.

Use unistrut then drill some holes on the side to put a pin in at different places to slide up and down. Until you get the height you want. Hope that makes sense.

Is there anything that helps lift the bed with the unistrut? I was actually thinking the same thing, but most people have struts, springs, motors, cables, straps, etc. to lift it. It seems to me if it is light enough, it would not be hard to lift each side at a time, especially if there are some midway pin points to hold it while the other side is lifted to the midway point. A lot of these beds (including the one in this video) do not go down far enough (bad design). It needs to go to normal bed height to be useful. Nobody wants to crawl up into a bunk bed.
