@5:13 ...they always delay it a little I’ve noticed. I think it’s to make sure you finish the vid but still know it’s coming.

My setup will not arrive for a few weeks. Can Liferock stay out of the water for that length of time? It would be great if I could be working on my aquascape before my tank arrives.

This is dry rock, so you're good to keep it dry until you're ready to use it 🙂

I'll have to keep this in mind when I set up my tank. I'll be in an apartment so I'm not going to be able to take a hammer and chisel to stuff. I'm not a huge fan of the look of that one though.

yeah looks very artificial. The modules at 3:33 look a lot better. It is also a bad idea to glue parts together and not be able to access the parts between them. There also may come a time for a reefer where he has to remove stones from their reef.

The problem is getting it to your house intact. Carib sea does not pack it very well. I sent mine back because the peices were broken in half.

Can this rock go safely RIGHT INTO an established tank without cycle?

You'll probably see a bit of a diatom bloom on the new rock, but that's to be expected when you introduce any new surface into an established tank. Other than that, you shouldn't have any issues.

I don’t see why you couldn’t. It’s likely made out of acrylic, fiberglass, or some other kind of reefsafe material.

Most human-made rock products like this are made from an aragonite material, so it will likely cause your pH to be too high in a freshwater setup.

As long as the tank is large enough for the rockwork, there is no reason why it wouldn't 🙂

You could buy the nano arches, a baserock, a piece of acrylic rod, and a drill.
