hi everyone! i'm back in seoul and spent the past few days getting back on track and testing out my new vlogging camera! don't worry, my trusty iphone will still be in heavy use :)

The picture on the Canon is much better and wider, I didn’t find it to be shaky at all. The battery issue, just get a few spare and swap it out while charging the other. The good thing is that your style is the same on both so the continuity is there.

This video made me feel soo warm and fuzzy 💕💕 And honestly, these ultra chill type videos are my favorite thing. Like I just love all the little details and calmness of it all. It just makes me feel like stable and grounded if that makes any sense? Like there's no big urgency to do anything, and it's okay to just dwell in the now and live. So, please don't let anyone tell you this is boring, it was wonderful, and I feel so much better now 💕💕

I miss korea so much! I left on the 28th and came back to los angeles to finish my bachelor’s degree. I had the time of my life at yonsei this semester and my heart hurts not being in seoul during new year’s. I am stuck sick and finishing applications, it’s really weird having watched you for a a few years dreaming of going to korea and then, being in korea and being familiar with the places you were showing around the city. What a year 2019 was!!! Anyways i’m just really grateful for everything and you and your channel, perhaps this will push me to learn korean even more!!! Happy new year cari 😊💓

this video gives me so much comfort. I arrived in Seoul last Friday and I slept pretty much the entire day, and then I went to Myeongdong (on a SATURDAY, bc I'm stupid) and then I did nothing for the entirety of sunday, cause you can't change traditions haha. but just seeing you walk around alone and filming (bc I'm vlogging my trip) gives me a lot of comfort, but still. I miss people to talk to. Like I didn't really talk to many people at home, but at least my sister was there and my dog and a few friends, that I saw occasionally. But still gives me comfort

I remember when I visited the Seoul Forest Greenhouse back in August.. and it felt almost cool inside there. Very different time of year haha. This vlog may have been "mundane" but I'm back in the UK visiting family for the holidays so just seeing Seoul is soo comforting. Happy New Year Cari!

Loved seeing this footage from your new camera, Cari! I have the same camera and I definitely recommend getting a couple spare batteries to have always charging and on hand. I’ve been studying for TOPIK (& therefore doing study with me videos 😉), and it’s so helpful to have extra batteries and 64GB or higher SD cards. Happy Birthday & Happy New Year, Cari! 🎇🎈🎉
