This video provides a step-by-step guide to download raw image data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).
The website to download this data is: mast.stsci.edu/
For this video I selected the Carina Nebula (NGC 3324).
You may also download data for the Southern Ring Nebula (NGC 3132) or the Stephen’s Quintet (NGC 7320) with the same process.
I use a MAC but the process for downloading data is similar for Windows computers.

Great video and super helpful information. Could you explain how you decided which files to keep and which to discard after opening in PixInsight?

Thanks for watching. When you unzip the FITS files and open them in PixInsight, you can easily distinguish between calibration images and teh useful image. This is also clearly demonstrated in the video. Hope this helps.
