Just ran across this video. Reminds me of baling tobacco decades ago on my grandfather's farm. Very similar except we used a hand-pumped hydraulic cylinder to compress the bales. Made for very dense bales. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

The best shooter I ever personally knew grew up in a farm, had a 22LR by 8, and went off to the mil. He was also strong but not built. He would laugh and say, "I'm a poor farmers son. I grew up with a hand baler"...

What is the weight of this bale

Dear Nikun It will depend on how densely the hay is put into the baler and how dry it is but the table below gives an idea of the range: Rectangle Bales Size Dimension(L x H x W) Weight 2 stringed bale 36 inches x 19 inches x 16 inches 40 to 75 lbs. 3 stringed bale 44 inches x 22 inches x 15 inches 100 to 140 lbs.

push down on the end of the lever not the middle, the lady was pushing unnecessarily hard when she could have pushed the end for ease
