@@bwest6275 I started as a Dj in 99. For the last 10 years I decided to move to a diffrent place in terms of playing music live. I was bored playing just tracks and loops of other peoples music. Now its all about my music. My style and my set up. I will say its not easy. A lot of studying and trial and error with new gear. Its important to find the right gear to sute your needs.

It's so interesting, I've always heard people tell me that they are "minimalist" when it comes to their hardware setups on their live setups. I tend to be more in the range of wanting to be in Carl Cox's arena of having a lot of hardware available to be able to create something more than just playing tracks. I love that Carl Cox actually challenges himself to learn more and progress even further

'modern' technology!? Analogue monosynths, synth drums and MIDI sequencing. It's how we made music 30 years ago and it's great that it's made a comeback - things had got far too polished and overproduced in the DAW. Hardware gets back to the raw roots of the performance. Nice one Mr Cox - was some top sets from you at Nation back in the 90s.

I could not agree more. Drum and some bases. But a cool setup. Seriously cool. Personally, more of a sampler dude (404, Tracker, MPC, and an S8 to use Traktor). Building a new computer now. From an old one, to rule them all (and in darkness bind them 😂).
