Wow, you were right Lester. Tat really is bigger than Carl. It took allowing them into the same space to actually see it. Hard to believe only a year ago, he was only up to Carl’s ankle! 😂❤

I agree Carl would enjoy the big pasture... and the pasture is big enough for anyone to get away. He's only showing dominance and is not being challenged. Love that you're working him back into his family.❤

Evening Lester. Carl has freedom again but wants to stay with the goats bless him. Tat is enormous I hope it continues to go ok with them altogether and Carl can rejoin them in the big pasture and dance to his hearts content. Have a great weekend take care and God Bless. 💕🙏🤠

I think your right Lester, it will just take some time for him to show who’s boss and I think your doing it the right way. All Carl has known for a long time, in bird time, is the goat pasture area so he has to claim it as his territory to the others. I think once he is in the large area and the freedom it will give him to move around he won’t be as territorial because it’s to big to claim the whole thing as his. It also affords the boys the room to move away from him if they want or feel threatened. There’s always an adjustment time when introducing new things to animals and it can’t be rushed. I think he doesn’t want to leave his safety zone because it’s familiar and all he’s really known at LL. I think you did great and it was so interesting to see their behaviour and Tat showing respect by moving when Carl wanted him to, no aggression even though he’s bigger. I think that is also because Tat is still immature and has never been challenged by another male so not sure what to do but get out of his way. It will be so wonderful to see Carl enjoying being able to really run and dance if he wants to and having bird company around him!! Very interesting video, than you for sharing the process . I have to admit that though Tex was always my favourite, he has such beautiful conformation and colouring and emits so much power and strength, once you brought Carl home he has utterly captivated me. He is also majestic, like Carl, but is such a character! I grin ear to ear whenever he is in a video, like a fool, he has come such a long way since you first got him and the two of you and Jake gave me so many belly laughs and concern. I’m glad you respect the danger he can be though!♥️🇨🇦

It's so amazing to watch these birds and how calm they are. I'm surprised they didn't seemed bothered by the dogs. Carl is comfortable around his herd. That is sweet🧡

The Ostriches have such humanoid looking ears😮 I’m glad that Carl is still maintaining his dominance. Tat is still basically a teenager but may change his attitude towards his Dad the more mature he becomes. For now, all seems good. It’s heartwarming tho how Carl doesn’t want to leave his herd of goats.😊

Tat is one handsome Ostrich! Carl will always be the man in charge though. Tats not used to being in a closed in pasture. Take is slow, no need for anyone to get hurt. Cannow wait to see the follow up video with this! Stay blessed Lester! Love you guys so very much! 💖🥰❤️🤗🙏🏻

Oh I sure do love Carl, always have. I got tickled when Carl looks so curiously first at Tat’s rump, as if to find exactly which feather he ought to pluck. Then the way he gave Stella a look see. You have such an ability for the babies to all get along in such harmony.

It was good too see the Ostrich’s together again. I’m hoping you can get Carl and Tat together so Carl will keep his Alpha dominance with all of them. It seems that it would be important too him mentally as well as physically.

Lester, I love that you are working so hard to get them used to each other again! It wouldn’t make that much difference to so many farmers. I hope it all goes well! It is so awesome to watch the Thunder Chicken’s running, dancing, and having so much fun. Who would of thought that we would be privileged to be enjoying them now, back when you first got Carl? Lester, can I just give you a huge shout out for figuring out (basically on your own) how to raise ostriches with little to no resources available!! You have single handily learned their behavior, their moods, their likes/dislikes, their triggers, etc on your own!! Great job Lester!! 😊 You’ve done an exceptional job!!!

I must say that I love the mix of brown and black on Tat. I will miss the brown once Tat has fully grown in his black feathers. It is amazing how much bigger he is than his daddy, Carl.

Thanks for trying to do what seems best for Carl and his family, Lester. All you can do is observe them and see how it goes, but I do hope Carl can spend some time in the big pasture. Also, it seemed to me that Tat and all the other ostriches are bigger than Carl in their bodies, but it didn't seem that Tat was taller. Maybe that's because it's hard to see the difference in a video. Plus there is physical bigness, but Carl is definitely the biggest in the sense of being the top bird for sure.

Lester, I remember when Tat was nothing more than a big white egg, it hadn't even hatched at that time. It's absolutely incredible to see how much Tat's actually grown, I mean to think that Tat's as big or even bigger than Carl, is totally amazing to me!!!
