Did he? He was quite passive aggressive mate. "I will never watch an andre ward fight again" "hes boring" lol. Andre ward is technically one of the best boxers of any weight class ever and froch wouldn't watch his fights? Would he watch mayweqthers fights at 147? If I had a kid who was into boxing I'd make him watch fighters like winky Wright, sweet pea (Pernell whitaker for those that do not know), mayweather, hopkins and andre ward religiously because thats how you get longevity out of your boxing career and keep your brain functioning at a high level into your latter years. Granted you could argue I'd personally rather watch 80s tyson or rjj than any of those fighters but if you are not an absolute athletic anomaly like rjj or tyson then you're better off learning the fundamentals. As far as froch goes he was a fantastic fighter but what 2ard says is pretty true and froch has a bad habit of putting people like calzaghe and ward down far too often. Calzaghe was too old, too heavy, too good and had won too many world championship belts to fight a man who was calling him out after 10-13 fights and hadn't won anything. Froch needs to let that go and put a but of respect of calzaghes name. As for ward... well the only reason froch states how good a fighter he was alongside his passive aggressive comments is because he fought ward and was shower that there are levels to this shit. I actually really enjoyed watching froch fight but he was a limited fighter that over achieved and couldn't legitimately compete with the best of the best.

@Luke 1234 You would think that, but being that "bitter narcissist" as you referred to him as, is what adds to his toughness, grit and determination. I don't suppose you've seen these boxers lose a fight, make a comeback and look like a shadow of their former self. Self-belief is massive in everything you do, especially if you're competing in sports. I can give my own experiences from doing amateur sport. As soon as you start doubting yourself you'll lose what gave you the edge, thus making you a shadow of yourself. This isn't me saying that you need to be an arrogant tool, who thinks they're above everyone. Although, believing you're better than you are at your chosen task, it'll add to what you're doing. I highly recommend looking into it, as it can have a play on many factors in your life.

@luke gYou're right it certainly does help but there've been plenty of great fighters and succesful individuals who were humble and quiet, believe it or not. When he says not athletic, that doesn’t mean fit, I think he means not fluid in his movements. The thing about Froch and why he’s not one of the greats is he was reasonably easy to hit for a world champion but his punch resistance and powers of recovery were off the chart. Anyone slick, fast and able to avoid punches for 12 rounds would beat him 99% of the time. Still love him though, warrior!

Froch fought the toughest 15 fights in a row to close his career. He went 13 - 2. He had a granite chin, and a great personality in and out of ring. Would have loved to seen him & Calzaghe fight. I have Froch as #4 all-time at Super Middleweight

Froch is probably the most underrated British fighter ever. His last 11 fights were all world championship fights. How many fighters have done that? He fought all the top fighters in his division throughout his career and the only loss he had was Ward (He avenged Kessler). Who else has ever had a record like that? He had slow hands but he had incredible ring smarts. His timing was probably pound for pound one of the best in his era, you don't go as far as he did with slow handspeed without having incredible timing to make up for it

What a spot on interview ....classy...but still humble at the same time. Agree with the Taylor-Froch comments from Ward . On the other foot, who really won the first Ward-Kovalev fight? The judges say Ward .....thats what counts. It was very close, however, and could be lsbeled controversial.....Regardless Froch’s answers were on target. Ward knew how to win.

All elite fighters over achieve in some way. Andre Ward over achieved. He had to fight boring to gather the success he did, and had not used tactics to the level he did, he may have been beaten. Froch is spot on here. It's about as humble as you will ever see him!

Calling someone an elite, undefeated boxer isnt hating. Saying he used tactics is a compliment too. It's very hard to stick to a game plan like Andre did. Think before you write.
