@jakemodi36153 жыл бұрын
Did he? He was quite passive aggressive mate. "I will never watch an andre ward fight again" "hes boring" lol. Andre ward is technically one of the best boxers of any weight class ever and froch wouldn't watch his fights? Would he watch mayweqthers fights at 147? If I had a kid who was into boxing I'd make him watch fighters like winky Wright, sweet pea (Pernell whitaker for those that do not know), mayweather, hopkins and andre ward religiously because thats how you get longevity out of your boxing career and keep your brain functioning at a high level into your latter years. Granted you could argue I'd personally rather watch 80s tyson or rjj than any of those fighters but if you are not an absolute athletic anomaly like rjj or tyson then you're better off learning the fundamentals. As far as froch goes he was a fantastic fighter but what 2ard says is pretty true and froch has a bad habit of putting people like calzaghe and ward down far too often. Calzaghe was too old, too heavy, too good and had won too many world championship belts to fight a man who was calling him out after 10-13 fights and hadn't won anything. Froch needs to let that go and put a but of respect of calzaghes name. As for ward... well the only reason froch states how good a fighter he was alongside his passive aggressive comments is because he fought ward and was shower that there are levels to this shit. I actually really enjoyed watching froch fight but he was a limited fighter that over achieved and couldn't legitimately compete with the best of the best.

I don't suppose you've seen these boxers lose a fight, make a comeback and look like a shadow of their former self. Self-belief is massive in everything you do, especially if you're competing in sports. I can give my own experiences from doing amateur sport. As soon as you start doubting yourself you'll lose what gave you the edge, thus making you a shadow of yourself. This isn't me saying that you need to be an arrogant tool, who thinks they're above everyone. Although, believing you're better than you are at your chosen task, it'll add to what you're doing. I highly recommend looking into it, as it can have a play on many factors in your life.

@@nelp.950 i'd agree with that assessment of Ward...Guy should have done so much more despite a glittering career

I think being called an overachiever is a compliment

All elite fighters over achieve in some way. Andre Ward over achieved. He had to fight boring to gather the success he did, and had not used tactics to the level he did, he may have been beaten. Froch is spot on here. It's about as humble as you will ever see him!

Calling someone an elite, undefeated boxer isnt hating. Saying he used tactics is a compliment too. It's very hard to stick to a game plan like Andre did. Think before you write.
