🧠 📚 Dr. Florian Kleinau interpreting the psychoanalytic theory of Carl Jung (C.G. Jung).
About this Video
In this video, I briefly introduce the concept of synchronicity as proposed by Carl Jung. I highlight how synchronicity may function as a principle underlying the physical and psychological reality.
Synchronicity: Meaningful Patterns in Life When Jung was investigating the phenomena of the collective unconscious, he kept on coming across “coincidences” that were connected so meaningfully, that they broke all statistical probabilities. The culmination of his investigations is covered in his work: Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle.
Carl Jung on Synchronicity - Explained With Examples. For Carl Jung synchronicity explained a lot of coincidental occurrences in his life. A sychronicity Carl Jung tells us is an occurrence that is not to be understood as personal but as an impersonal happening connected with the greater realities of the collective unconscious.
By understanding and embracing synchronicity, we can help ourselves become more enlightened and reach our full potential as individuals. This video is a brief introduction to Carl Jung's philosophy of synchronicity, and is intended to help you to explore the topic on your own. I hope you enjoy!

About the Channel
In my videos, I look at Jungian topics through an interpretative lens, advancing themes discussed by Carl Jung along trajectories of psychology, psychoanalysis, theology and philosophy Carl Gustav Jung. Exploring his model of the psyche, his concept of individuation, and his philosophy in general, I explore Jung's theories about a path toward a more full and complete Self. My focus is always
I mostly draw on the writings of Carl Jung. However, other psychoanalytic writers like Erich Neumann, Marie Louise von Franz, Siegmund Freud, Jacques Lacan and others also inform my interpretation of Jung’s texts. My understanding of psychoanalysis is also informed by research psychology, philosophy and neuroscience. I find the fields of narrative psychology, cybernetic and certain theories of perception especially helpful in the interpretation of Carl Jung. Of course, conceptions of spirituality and religion play a fundament role in the Jungian opus as well.

The other day, I was reading a text while someone near me was listening to a news report on their phone. At the exact moment I read an uncommon word in the text, the person in the interview said the same word synchronously. I found it so strange that two completely random events delivered the same word to me at the exact same moment. Since then, I've been very interested in this type of improbable "coincidence."

A very interesting occurrence indeed! It would be perhaps fruitful to reflect on the word itself and think about its meaning in the context of your own life or in the context of the archetypal space - that would be linking it to other occurrences of the word in products of the psyche …. Good luck!

@@DrFlorianKleinau Thank you for the guidance! By 'products of the psyche,' do you mean collective? To look into what types of contexts the word is normally associated with, in general?

I mean “amplifying” the elements from your experience by looking at their occurrence in other myths / stories / fairy tales, etc. - look at them as symbols that have been used before. What may be fruitful is to find out what they have been used as before - what they have been pointing to in other occurrences. This may create a richer background around your experience helping you to understand it better. One example would be understanding “birds” as a symbol for the soul (and reading the many myths surrounding this symbol) ….

may not have been completely random. in the same way memes spread, so does lexicon. For example, nobody says WASSSSSUP anymore, but for a while everyone did. If it was an out of pocket literature style word, it’s possible millions heard it on some OTHER broadcast first and then for a day or two overused the word, making it far more like for you to hear/see it twice in the same moment.

@@speedrunner9907 I think in the end it really depends on the "archetypal background" and whether there was any kind of "numinosity" involved (for you). I have another video on Synchronicity come out soon that goes more into the topic of the "effects" of the synchronistic moment.
