What a wonderful documentary. Thank you for reminding us of what is important in life. I am struck by how the Pueblos revere the sun. The Japanese too greet the first sunrise of the New Year. It is so sad that so many of us have lost this mystical reverence of life itself. I can't helping feeling we're heading in the wrong direction... but many have said long before me.

For the part where they regard science as the new myth, I would like relay this excerpt from Jung's Memories, Dreams, Reflections; "No science will ever replace myth, and a myth cannot be made out of any science." - Carl Jung, MDR, Page 340

Excellent quote indeed! I had a feeling that the idea of science and technology as the new myth was some sort resignation to a kind of contemporary fate...

7:15 .. I think Tarzan (book, mythology) is about Western man's profound shock and dismay at how much the rest of the world has let itself go from the world of rationality, and a hope that even in such darkness, one might escape it, return, to civilization. ...Triumph of the Will? .. It is why rap musicians seem not that far removed from "the jungle", the darkness, the abyss. And secular jewry seems like a buffer zone, guarding the enlightened ones, the pious Jews from the gentiles.. but the farther out you go, the darker (more ignorant, less rational) the world becomes, being ruled by irrationality, and demonic influences.... In Edgar Rice Burrough's book, Tarzan, England is cast as Zion, and the British as The Jews... Truth is a light, by hearing, one sees. .. It is not about race, or eugenics, for the wicked have children, as do the righteous, but about light, a torch being passed from one generation to the next. Tarzan receives wisdom from his Ape parents, especially his mother. But she is different from the others. What are the odds that he should be adopted by her? Nevertheless, his desire for light in the midst of darkness, and circumstance, will bring him back home... So, the book Tarzan is about Hope, and the will to survive, continue life's journey, and not eugenics. .. The point being, children reflect the genetic code of their parents, but who they are on the inside is a reflection of the ideas they take into their minds and hearts. So, they who dwell in the jungle do not do so because they are black, but because their parents were poor in wisdom. And nor are they black because they dwell in the jungle. Although Darwin would disagree and say, You have to be black, muscular, aggressive, in order to survive such an environment. Evolution, or mutation, adaptation, in a single generation? .. withholding quality public education from children because of the colour of their skin, or subjecting them to a different inferior education because of their genetic heritage, ought to be a crime, if it is economically feasible to make all literate. .. now whether they choose to read Tarzan or some other book, is entirely up to them. FDR was the first American President who insisted that literacy, public education, be a birthright of all Americans. Or was that Elanor's influence in his Administration?

I had a strange dream. I was driving a car, and attempted to make a turn, only this green motorcycle turned directly towards me. I lept out of the car, which was red, only to find it avoiding the motorcycle, and speeding away. I gave chase, but soon tired, and then realized I had left my pants and all my id in the car. So I walk back, wondering where I live, and how ridiculous it would be to knock on somebody's door to ask to use their phone, having no pants on. This guy, with arms waving like two strands of spaghetti walks by, and then I see a queen, crown, face, and dress, white as plaster, standing at a busstop - a white queen. And I realize, my arms are weak, and I have no pants, no id, no change for the bus .. how like a girl wearing a skirt, a street walker person? I wake up, thinking upon the plot to the movie, Walk of Shame, starring Elizabeth Banks. .. well, that was educational.

I've worked with dreams four decades, Kelly, and I think I understand, but we all use 'personal' symbols, so without further communication, I could be off track. An example is that if you love cats, your dream symbol will typically reflect a positive connotation, while someone who is deathly allergic will typically have a negative connotation. You did not request interpretation, yet your dream appears to be saying you are emotionally worn out from trying to solve an important personal issue on your own, which begs the question. Are you unconsciously asking for help from an objective, nonjudgmental person, yet holding back due to being afraid of how it will expose you? IF your sense of stability and identity are truly at stake here, I certainly would try to help, and I wouldn't judge or shame you at all.One question I had with your dream was in the opening scene where you stated "I attempted to make a turn." In my own dreams, when I make a turn, the direction is usually given and therefore important. A right turn has a positive context, while a left turn suggests a negative direction, but again, it depends on the person.Best wishes. Holler back if you wish.

Sounds like you were too afraid of something, without a good reason ? I heard the "no pants" situation is about (the fear of) lacking money or means in real life. In Europe, seeing a white lady was a symbol of death in older tradition, more in apparitions than dreams, though. In a recent dream I was in a file of vehicles, and in a right turn another car ejected me from the main road, and I found myself before a steep slope, got out of the car to see if it was possible to drive, then the dream ended with this dead end situation (I later told my self I could have tried to drive another way, off road as there were no obstacles around, or even go back and wait for a space in the traffic, but no I was just desperate to have been ejected).

Could anyone help me interpret this dream I had? I beat all these people at this game and then was in this room and this dragon mouth opened up and it was a portal to hell. I thought to myself that I felt some fear (not excessive fear) about entering this portal but it felt like the portal opened because I won that game earlier. Then later that night I had another dream where I was swimming in this very deep and dark ocean, with all these strange creatures swimming deep in the water. I swam from the surface all the way down to the bottom where this little house was. I went inside the house at the bottom of the ocean and it was just set up with a mechanical system of pullies, carts, and wooden crafted manikins that cycled through some story as a front to anyone who entered. I had more dreams that same night but I can't really remember them. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers.

Sounds like time for some inner work, maybe read something about subconsciousness, Jung... The 1st scene sounds a lot like the five of swords in Tarot cards.

I'm just no one Kelly, but an idea came to me about you jumping out of the car but it continued to drive itself well. Could it be that you don't have confidence in yourself and you let something go because of lack of confidence when you should have/could have trusted yourself and your capacities? Just a thought...

Through evolution, snakes and mankind developed together. Snakes was the number one enemy for the early man, dwelling in the trees. The ability to spot a snake, to see it, was the key to survival, killing it was easy for a group of monkeys. The snake made us see colours, we have the best eyes in the animal kingdom. (Only predatory birds, like eagles and falcons have better eye sight, so they represent justice and law that sees through everything in most cultures.) The Bible says the same thing, the serpent made Adam and Eve see, they where able to conceptualize them selfes, they become aware of their nakedness (and that that they where easy prey) and covered them selfes. That is why he i called "lucifer", the bringer of light, according to Agnostics. He caused them to sin, but they became aware at the same time. Any type clothing, a pice of animal skin even, will increase your chanses of surviving exponentially in a world where a thorn, bug bite or a small wound could mean death. When the ball started to roll, it just took 4.2 millions of years and here we are. But the snake is still with us.
