sounds very judgmental of you. Jesus came for the sinners not the self righteous. he even said if you have need of a physician and are sick will receive Jesus yoke. they that be whole need not a physician. I don't want to be mean but one thing Jesus cannot stand is people like that. when he knew that they were just as guilty as the person they are judging. Matthew 9:12-13. Matthew 9:3-6. god can have authority to forgive sin- not you! It's not your job to judge other people.

And that's the point of us needing Jesus. Everyone sins and can't help but to sin. You can judge Lentz's sin but you know you have sin of your own. A little less judging and a little more grace and compassion is in order.
@petalblossom96
@petalblossom96 4 күн бұрын
@erikc3057 How about taking your own advice? Instead of judging me, READ WHAT I SAID. I said that WE, which includes me, don't need a reason to sin. Sin is in our nature. The Bible says we sin because we are drawn away by our own lusts. We may be more vulnerable to temptation if we are hurting, sure. But our flesh will cause us to sin regardless of whether we are 'broken' or not. We are therefore all called to die to ourselves. I in no way suggested that I was without sin, so your accusation is completely false. That said, I admit to having issue with Carl Lentz as a leader. His posing with celebrities and walking around with his shirt off was off-key from the start. Neither Jesus nor the apostles would have dreamt of behaving that way. We aren't here to make friends with the world and church leaders are not rock stars. It was always obvious that he was indulging his flesh rather than dying to it. With that mindset, cheating on his wife was bound to happen. I do not feel sorry for him. He knew exactly what he was doing and thought he could get away with it.

@@tinachowa1108 i understand it brings confusion, and that’s what makes deliverance ministries false. Watching my best friend come to Christ and she wa better off not knowing about such false teachings, because when she did she got so much worse (the scripture of a demon leaving and bringing 6 others with him that the state of that man is worse because they find the house well kept and EMPTY) I’m not saying that casting out of demons is not true. It is…demons are real but they cannot in dwell in a person baptized by the Holy Spirit. I have seen my best friend go through this deliverance ministry for three years and only in one day she received the true teachings of Gods word. She realized she never actually really turned from her ways. She asked God to fill her with His Spirit and in just one night and one sermon and one baptism all in that day she was set free from all demons and filled with His Spirit. Before that it, was utter confusion, I’d cast the demons out fully believing in this false teaching and they would just mock me, and they’d come right back, they’d lie to me and say she has the Holy Spirit. And guess what when she would go to churches for help these demons would do the same to the ministers who preach such false doctrine. Well…it wasn’t true. I studied the New testament and there I found the truth. What happens in these types of false teaching is that they add on to the scripture. Anyone that says “I have new knowledge” is a liar so be weary. We are in the end times. I’ll be posting my testimony on here very soon.
@JohannaRobles11
@JohannaRobles11 Ай бұрын
@@tinachowa1108anyone that comes to you with an add on to the scripture are teaching you false doctrine. No one can have the Holy Spirit and demons too. But we certainly can go through opposition just like Jesus did and so did His apostles. There are multiple verses that back up what I am saying. A key indicator is when Jesus said in scripture when a demon leaves it brings 6 others more powerful then that one because it finds the house well kept (works) and EMPTY (nothing is in dwelling within that person) then the state of that person is much worse then before. I wrote an entire reply but it did not send 😭. I would love to testify about this in greater detail because I was fullyyyy in that false doctrine until the Lord revealed the Truth to me in His mercy but I will be doing that soon here on my page.

Nick, I agree with you about Carl going back into ministry. The Bible said that God holds ministers to a higher standard because people's souls are there responsibility. I don't know if you know who Jimmy Swaggart is . He was an evangelist. In 1988 he got caught having sex with hookers. He was kicked out of the Assembly of God Church and eventually started his own Church. Personally I feel like he should never have gone back into ministering because people will never forget it. It puts a mark on Christianity and the ministry. The real sad thing about this is almost all of the Evangelists I watched in the 70s 80s even up till now have become false prophets because fame and fortune became more important to them than their original calling. It's very sad and a slap in the face to God which breaks my heart even more because Christ willingly went through horrific pain for us so we could be with Him. Jesus said,, it's better for a man to have a millstone around his neck and cast into the sea then to cause one of God's children to stumble.

Why do people always say "we are all human and we make mistakes". Does no one seem to understand that adultery is a loooooong process. Mistakes is depositing $500 instead of $50. Please stop calling SIN a mistake. Look at the life of David and how God dealt with him over his "mistake". People should use Joseph as a reference instead. Joseph fled BEFORE the 10 commandments were even written down as law

@@yo_itz.jay1 this is why the road to damnation is broad, because of silly people like you who are bent on one side of the gospel. It's not my job to forgive this person, he sinned continuously against the living God and betrayed his wife and children. The issue is with him. I am merely stating calling adultery a mistake is actually not a mistake it's intentional. If you continue reading Galatians you will come across a verse that says adulterers will not enter into the kingdom of God. Imagine dying in the process of adultery? Imagine dying coming from seeing your lover, or on your way there? Or perhaps having a heart attack right ontop of the person? No one ever thinks of the consequences of sin. Maybe it’s hard to admit to for some people to being a worthless garbage human. I admit it all the time. I know what I’m like on the inside. I know that I’m an angry person and sometimes I’m not that fun to be around. As much as I want true love, I almost don’t believe it’s possible for me. But at this point I’m getting ready for retirement. I’d rather be super wealthy for no reason and do as I please rather than worked the last 18 years since high school to have nothing. (Well close enough) But yet I persist. All I really have to show for it is scars, aches, and back pain. I make the conscious decision to do the right things even if I don’t feel like it. But I know my inner thoughts and desires. That I know I need to work on. It’s not through anything we do, it’s what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Amazing Grace! Saved a wretch like me. Bottom line, I could have more respect for him if he had said “I’m a douche” than oh I have this problem and this problem. Those are just excuses.

It may sound good when people say that they just want to love people, but focusing on loving and pleasing people is just wanting to be popular in disguise. @spreadthemessage15 We're always quick to say, "Only God knows the heart." While that is true, don't forget that He has given us His word to inform us so we can exercise wisdom. The scriptures say that by their fruits, you shall know them. So that's how I'm sure. A heart that is truly repentant wouldn't wait till they're caught before they change their ways. The response is due to the inconvenience of being exposed rather than that of a heart that is broken towards God. I know this is the part where you'll call me judgmental, but I don't really care. We live in a generation where truth is seen as being judgmental.
