Watch "Mean Woman Blues" with Clapton and Carl Perkins, Eric looked and played enthusiastic with Carl Perkins and Carl was amazed with Eric's performance. I understand the flaws of 70's and 80's Eric Clapton but also realize he was probably drunk here and he didn't get totally clean and sober until November of 1987. Like Stevie Ray Vaughan after he got sober, he and Clapton were at their peak after they got clean and sober!! In short, Clapton is god!!!

Of all the coolness that is going on here, George Harrison singing Glad All Over some 32 years after the Beatles performance of the song for BBC radio is completely awesome! And yes he remembered the words. Of course the reunion of Carl and Eric after they appeared on the Johnny Cash show in 1970 is fantastic. So much greatness!

Ok. This clip is historic. Carl Perkins, George Harrison (who snagged/developed Carl’s licks to make his own sound), Eric who played with Carl during a Derek & the Dominos set on the Johnny Cash Show (KZfaq it), Dave Edmunds, Ringo, cats from the Stray Cats, & Rosanne Cash. The joy on their faces says it all! And George in awe, having the time off his life, looking at Carl for Daddy’s approval. And he got it! Thx for the upload!

For real the truth has been spoken. At 15 yrs old the Beatles themselves knew George Harrison was the real deal. When asked for an audition he promply mounted a tour bus and schooled Lennon and McCartney on how to play lead guitar on a summer night in 1958. Made them believers so fast they hired a fifteen year old ON THE SPOT. 15 YEARS OLD!!! Lennon only knew banjo chords and Macca couldnt play lead guitar.......Yet. George could, with authority. Your hired!!!
