This is my first time visiting Carl and while we chatted for over an hour, I feel like I could have spent another couple of hours there easily. This stunning custom Miracles (miraclesaquariu...) aquarium is 5 feet long, 4 feet side to side and 2 feet tall. Wow.

This guy has the right idea in terms of the dimensions of the tank and the aquascape. I don’t like the narrow rectangle shape of most aquariums.

One of the best tours I've seen . 😊. Do you know the name of those yellow & purple zoas with the green centers . If you could name any others zoas in the tank I'd appreciate it . I'm a rookie & perfer to start with something easier. . Like the bigger heads . I didn't see any gonnopora . Is there a reason or just a personnel choice ? Thanks again . Really enjoyed it ❤ Also do you what sand he's using ? Looks good & doesn't seem to blow around much even with all that flow . Carl's & your excitement is contagious

I respectfully disagree. MP40 is a staple in aquarium hobby and is being used everywhere alongside the Radions. Just look at WWC.
@traianboala3798

But still… also respectfully… it is outrageous that someone buys an expensive pump and wipes out a tens of thousands acro tank just because of the cheap tubing in the pump.
@TreasureCorals
@TreasureCorals 5 ай бұрын
@@traianboala3798 ah, if you are referring to Versa - I fully agree that the tubing could be better. But MP40s rock :)

I think we all underestimate the stress that saltwater applies to equipment. I’ve been on a quest to get “industrial” grade equipment for my fish room and the price of the equipment quickly goes up when you want the extra durability. For example, I’m going with a Stenner dual head peristaltic pump on my next tank to automate my water changes. But the tubing refills for it are around $45-$50 each and you need two of them. Saltwater simply destroys almost everything. It’s a very challenging environment we are trying to replicate inside our homes. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love if aquarium companies would build equipment to even better quality standards, but the average hobbyist isn’t going to want to spend $1000 on a single head peristaltic dosing pump - so there unfortunately has to be a balance. They could definitely make their products even more durable, but I generally think they are one of the more reliable equipment manufacturers.
@traianboala3798
@traianboala3798 4 ай бұрын
@@TrevorHiller Thank you for your reply and yes, you have a very good point. We just need to learn to not trust so much our equipment. For avoiding tragedies it would help if manufacturers would say “replace this every month so you’ll be safe”.
