Good Omarisuf videos about how you shoulder never be grinding out reps if you're power lifting. Basically saying you're training yourself to fail if you are.
@THExJMC5 жыл бұрын
You shouldnt really be grinding that hard in training. That being said it looks much smoother for big guys because they are far more stable and they carry a lot of mass that covers up the muscle striations and slight shaking that would be good indicators apart from speed for how difficult the lift was for them. Often you will see these guys perform with amazing speed but once they reach their limit it is like hitting a brick wall. If they cannot maintain that amount of speed they simply do not complete the lift.

+CosmosZeroX at the age of 17 he placed 5'th in Norways strongest man vs roidmonsters. Most powerlifters are not :-(
@biga18718 жыл бұрын
+TheMagicToiletBrush obviously he takes certain supplements to increase his strength, otherwise he wouldnt be the record holder...also, i doubt that he had a shout in a world class strongman contest, most of the guys are greater deadlifters than him, and are used to events like log lift or loading race / carry etc. He might be the best squatter though, but then again the Squat in Wsm is mostly about reps not about max.

390kg with a IPF approved bar that have virtually no bend/whip ... Easy lift .. Had loads more in the tank ... .. On a Texas or Okie deadlift bar add at least 25kg for same level of effort/speed .. In tested fed .. Got to be up there in top handful of deadlifters too ...
@yurwiewreuiyhjb9 жыл бұрын
ke lu im not that sure he had more in the tank, because he tends to either get it fast or get stuck at his sticking point at the top. but yeah he is a sick deadlifter and would do 900+pounds with a deadlift bar
@kennylufc9 жыл бұрын
He doesn't seem to go right to his max at competition .. seems to have specific total in mind and sticks to it whatever ... And a long term plan of progressively increasing records gradually over maybe several years .. Over several meets .. Rather than maybe going all out in the specific meet even if he was capable .. Almost like Benni on his raw 1015 it was easy on the day and he could have got more if he had wanted .... And I think his plan was to probably hit 470kg (a lift he had done in gym apparently) at some meet close by but was thwarted by injury and surgery .. .... Can't really see any illustrations on youtube where it looks like he (cyc) is absolutely at his 1rm .. . I guess he aimed for a specific total on the day and specific records .. 390kg is 860 .. Think he has maybe 400kg (882) in an IPF bar on that day if he really needed the number to make required total ... Think he has around 900 on an IPF bar if he really wanted it and wasn't to bothered about going for a squat record or an overall total record .. At a particular meet or it was deadlift only .. On a texas or okie deadlift bar which most other non IPF feds use add 20-25kg (45 to 55lbs) I guess .. on the day in question .. Couple of guys I train with went to first IPF meet and remarked how heavy the bars felt even on comfortable weights .. just because they've very little slack off the ground to pull out .. It would be interesting if someone has any insight into his gym maxes on deadlift .. I think your right that he maybe has a bit of slowdown at the lockout ..
