Creo lo he dicho en otros vídeos: escuchar al maestro Trepat en esta guitarra, es como trasladarse a la época en que fueron escritas las obras. Nostalgia y belleza.

Julián Arcas fue un compositor e interprete clásico del siglo XIX. Él dio a la guitarra flamenca nuevas pautas y cartas de nobleza, hoy incuestionables -soleá de Arcas, rondeña, contribución al diseño de la guitarra flamenca, etc. Concertista andaluz de fama internacional fue guitarrista de la corte en tiempo de Isabel II, profesor en el Real Conservatorio de Madrid y maestro de Tárrega. Amigo y consejero de Antonio Torres Jurado, no falta quien atribuye a ese trato el diseño de la tapa de la guitarra flamenca, fruto de una colaboración entre Torres y el maestro de la que el guitarrero generara el instrumento actual. De las interpretaciones de su música que conozco, esta de Carles Trepat la considero tan fina y sentida que no imagino a Arcas tocando de otra manera, lo que prueba, una vez más la universalidad de la música. Toque acertado donde los haya pues aúna alma y pureza. ¿Qué mejor manera de despertar el espíritu del viejo maestro?

As a beginner I experimented with all types of strings 1973, I purchased gold plated-gut strings, and other types of gut. They have their place in The modern guitar, as we much remember- the idea on TONE from the guitar was not perfected until their were strings that could produce clarity and a sustained tuned guitar. I still experiment. My 1977 Takamine Hirade Series 5 Signature loves, High tension D'Addario Titanium Trebles. I have 12 Guitars they all seem to perform various ways of tonality and they come alive with certain string types. I LOVE THE SOUND OF GUT STRINGS. This is real joy to hear this tone, the ears never tire to the sounds. Often Guitarist with often expensive guitars and ultra bright nasal ( mid range ) tones, bleach out my hearing. Then it becomes a tin whistle.

Beautiful music! I'm not Spanish, but this is the guitar music which really remind me the Spain. Some kind of the flamenco and the Spanish folk music fusion. As some user earlier mention he will run to his guitar and try to play these songs. Same to me! It's allway nice to find some new good guitar music to play. Thank you! I'll try to find more Spanish guitar music from Julian Arcas. Am I right, he was composed mostly traditional Spanish guitar music?

BTW the Solea starts about 2'52" ... an insanely beautiful piece. I believe Maestro Trepat is playing on gut strings ... IMHO gut strings give a sound such that only angels could sing. Alas that they're temperamental, and only last 57 seconds if you're playing with nails. Any praise, of course, belongs solely to M. Trepat (and his Torres guitar)!
