Don Carlo is criminally underrated for what he's achieved. He has two remarkable records that are truly unmatched: 1. The manager with the most Champions League/European Cup titles ever (4) 2. The only manager ever to have won all top 5 European leagues Honorable mention: Carlo is also the only manager in Real Madrid history to have won all the six available major trophies. One of the GOATs of football, without doubt...

The only counter argument to his greatness is the fact that he achieved all that over a far longer career than other greatly successful coaches like Guardiola, Mourinho, and Klopp. Other than that though, based on silverware alone, probably the most successful manager ever so far.

@@mattia1026 Well not really, Mourinho and Klopp started their coaching careers in the early 2000s so Ancelotti has only coached for a few more years. It's not "far" longer. Except for Guardiola who started in 2008.

@@amirhosseinahmadi3706 Ancelotti was appointed for his first managerial role in 1995, Klopp in 2001, Mourinho in 2000. Mourinho didn't break through as a top manager until 2002, Klopp did in 2008. Ancelotti had his first top managerial role in 1996. He's got 6 more seasons at the top than Mourinho and 11 more than Klopp. I think an argument could be made with Mourinho, not with Klopp as he chose to stick with Mainz until the 2010's.

The way I saw him so calm when needing to score 3 goals with less than 5 minutes to play vs one of the best teams in the world was trully inspirational. Reminds of how important a stratedy is and how important it is to be prepared for every situation even the ones you don't want to be in. You just have to trust the strategy you've developed and results will come sooner or later. "You can't be anxious for the result. If you've done the proper things, it will come."

I am Real Madrid fan and I was happy when Carletto was announced and I was expecting to make quaters of UCL and win La Liga , and they have crashed my expectations by winning La Liga after 34 matches and won UCL probably in the hardest possible way in history. Hope next season's he will dominate La Liga and make maybe one more UCL so Lucas Vasquez would be finally named better than Messi when seeing how many times they won UCL ;)

Carlo actually did really well at Everton despite it not seeming that way. We were in the top 4 up until late March, got injuries to key players, and fell all the way down to 10th with the highest points finish for that position. But if he'd arrived at Everton before Moshiri's ridiculous spending spree on garbage footballers, I think things could have been very different.

Ancelotti's Milan side won 2 Champions Leagues but only 1 Scudetto. That says it all. He might have been able to relax top players before major finals, but he could not drive them to dominate leagues in the manner that Lippi, Capello and Mancini did during the same era in Italy.

Best manager in the world. I love him! Though I dearly wish he could've managed my club way longer than 18 months, Carlo Ancelotti - unlike passing innovator Pep, father figure Klopp, Diego [you-know-what] and pragmatists Mourinho & Tuchel - Ancelotti can manage ANY team/club/organisation, and succeed with class. During his time, taking over a relegation-bound Everton (we really were then too), under FFP handcuffs like never before, Carlo showed how to adapt a small squad, laced with one-trick-ponies; and adjust a variety of formations and calendar scenarios entirely to the benefit of the club. We all knew he had no problem with walking into work with an early dismissal a high possibility and not have a problem with it. But his tactical intelligence was there too. Remember the likes of Cavani, Fernandes and Rashford rip apart an in-form Everton 2-0 in the 1st-half of an Old Trafford February? No? Well, it's because we all remember a 7-minute 2-goal comeback from Anceclotti spotting a dodgy off-side trap in an otherwise amazing United XI. Digne getting forward, with Doucoure & James Rodriguez causing mayhem where it mattered. And then do it all over again once a Scott McTominay header out them back ahead; a brand new, goal hungry DCL scoring a 95th minute equalizer. There were other glory moments that season, despite only finishing 10th. But what's happened since has only re-enforced brutal reality we at Everton face. Carlo Ancelotti is something else. very proud to know our club's employed the best striker in the world TWICE - and now, the best manager in the world on world real terms. A great video, highlighting the many dynamic skills Carlo has, more than anyone else in the sport.

@@gnello3713 That 5-4 F.A. Cup win came just four evenings after the Old Trafford fightback Ancelotti masterminded. It's the best I ever saw Sigurdsson play, the best Davies play - everyone contributed that night. His detractors were saying: "Benitez's Everton come from behind to win a PL game for the first time since..."; when we did so over a two-hour Cup marathon. It really was a statement of our club and Carlo that February night. In terms of how higher the standard of global competition football is now - it was the best week our club's players have ever performed.

Ancelotti tactics are severely under rated. Man doesn’t set up an 11 to maintain possession or use modern tactics but instead focuses on disarming the tactics of the opposite team. Man knows his players well and knows how use them to thier extreme potential. Examples are Vinicius, Valverde, Camavinga, and Militao.

It pains me to say it because Real Madrid recently gave my team Liverpool a footballing lesson. Carlo Ancelotti is football icon. His Palma team was incredible &, back then, he was only getting started. & the AC Milan team he put together was unreal. I still remember how baffled I was when Kaka scored that goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford. That 2005 final was a miracle for Liverpool & whilst I was overwhelmed with emotion at the time, I did feel Ancelotti when the dust settled … That early retirement from playing probably lit a fire in his belly. He then went on to become one of the greatest managers of all time. Its a sour taste when the club that I support have fallen victim to Carlo Ancelotti’s success but I’d rather the team be there than not … & I admire anyone who can speak another language, let alone many. Honestly, there are not enough words. It does hurt that he managed Everton for a period of time (but a lot of my mates support Everton so I was begrudgingly happy for them). 😂

5:41 love this point out. For me a lot of the up and coming generation of coaches need to learn how to do this and do it effectively. Man management is something they are lacking in which is a shame as its a must for success.

Man, I thought that Real Madrid and Liverpool were starting to have a new European rivalry where, like with the rivalry with atletico madrid, Real was often the winner. Turns out that we are just passengers tagging along with Carlo in his eternal rivalry Liverpool lol

When Carlo arrived at madrid for the 2nd time.. I noticed one thing that he is not same as other manager like Zidane... His team plays for the badge.. His defender knows when to run forward and score a banger.. Under him every players play in the position where they need the most.. This is the perfect example of man management.. He doesn't force his team to play in their respective position he just knows which player plays how.. And let them manage in game in a simple 433 formation.. And guess what this works well for madrid cause when you 2_0 down and it's 89 minutes you have to use every 11 players in the pitch to score 2 goals.. Brilliant Don Carlo.. He just let his players play whatever they do the best.. And then GG ❤️

When your back line is Maldini, Nesta, Cos and Kaldaze, ofc you can put any formation in the midfield. Prilo, Gat, Costa and Seedorf could have been in a diagonal shape and still would have had the same impact lol I still respect Carlo the GOAT tho. Amazing vid, per usual.
