@@miichal07Gattuso when focused, was one of the best defensive midfielders of all time. People only know him for his Antics but they don't realize that he's tackles were amazing he was a great man marker that had unlimited stamina dude never gassed out he could play 180 minutes and he was very physically strong. It wasn't a question of if he could win the ball back it was when you knew he was going to win the ball back because of his presence in the team, Pirlo could operate without fear or anxiety.

This is the ultimate compliment for Lampard. He deserves it, maybe more people will realize he was not just a simple box to box goalscorer. I will never forget that Barcelona midfielders dominated from the mid 2000's to mid 2010's and that Lampard always stood in their way, wether it was Deco and Ronaldinho or Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta. Chelsea was robbed in 09 but he had the last laugh in 2012. What a career.
