Together with Patrice Rushen, Chester D. Thompson, Alphonso Johnson, Ndugu Chancler and Armando Pereza the famous guitarist Santana and the co-founder of “Weather Report”, Wayne Shorter, play in a brilliant concert at the Munich Philharmonie at the Klaviersommer 1988.

I’ve noticed that Carlos is much more intricate in his playing back in the day than he is now. I just saw him in Vegas in September. It was a great show but as a musician myself I notice him taking shortcuts in his songs. Not quite as soulful. He will always be my favorite. There are better guitarists but none that can match his style or soulful music. I just looked back at all his albums, unbelievable songs, so moving.

When you are admired by musicians like Wayne Shorter, Clapton, Watanabe, Hancock, Corea,Prince, McLaughlin,Metheny and a genius like Miles Davis likes your music and you've played with them, you can rest easy and let those who criticize you go by Carlos Santana... on the other hand, it is incredible that this work of art has so few views
