Federal tss is 11$ a shot here in 2024.

I love Carlson tubes. Stopped by their shop while driving through Atwood for work. Genuine, down to earth people.

I have been through Atwood a few times, but haven't stopped. I need to check them out.

The great outdoors gun shop in Atwood is one of the best in the region also. Thanks for the quality video.

It is hard to not shoot tss with a 20 gauge. But some of the others surprised me.

You are the only person I have seen who gets what I consider to be good patterns out of 3rd Degree. I guess other people do because they keep making it.

based off of my testing, which is certainly not complete, I like the 20 gauge load more than the 12 gauge version.

@@RegularGuysOutdoors Hmmmm. I never considered that. I am new to the 20 gauge game. I did kill my first turkey with a 20 gauge, but that was in 1980!! Everything else has been a 12, and there was no tss back then.

@@RegularGuysOutdoors Hmmmm. I never considered that. I am new to the 20 gauge game. I did kill my first turkey with a 20 gauge, but that was in 1980!! Everything else has been a 12, and there was no tss back then. And that was with a double barreled gun with an improved cylinder and a cylinder bore, a bird gun. I think I shot those upland loads, #4’s. 😂

I think if I were using a 12 gauge, I would use Winchester LongBeard and/or Federal Grand Slam. In 20 gauge, I do wish the third degree was made with #9 TSS for more pallet count, but by using #7 TSS, it keeps it legal in several states that have outdated regulations.

This duplex load was sweet and a little cheaper than most TSS. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9JxipmAsti5hmg.htmlsi=ciX2RF4R0Yn2VO1v

Nice patterns. I was going to longbeard xr out of my mossberg SA 20ga turkey gun. With longbeard xr 5's shot. I did find federal 20 ga 3 inch 9s tss for 44.00 today.
@RegularGuysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
That is an awesome price for the federals, I just saw them today for 60 bucks, $60 is past my breaking point, won’t go that high.

@@RegularGuysOutdoors i have bought apex ninja 410 9.5. I bought 3 boxes of them. And i though they where high priced. I may go back next week. And pick up 4 more boxes at that price. I would have enough for a few yrs.

Great video! What's with the oversized slipper as a recoil pad? Where was Long Beard xrs in the mix?
@RegularGuysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
The slipper keeps my shoulder from getting beat up. No XRs in there, I didnt realize I had a box on the shelf.

Rogue ammunition tss is under $50 a box and usually in stock online it shoots lights out too you should check out a box of the #9’s in 20
@RegularGuysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I will check them out, Blue Collar Outdoors did some patterning with them. Never hurts to have more than one source for ammo.

Thank you for the video! I'm using the same .20ga Mossburg/Carlson's set-up. I tried Win Longbeard XR#5 shot over the weekend and got horrible results @ 40yds. Not all that impressed @ 30yds either to be honest. Any suggestions? Would #6 be a better option? That Federal HW #6 seemed impressive. Hard to find anything on the shelves these days. Thank you so much!!

I’ve been in many different gun shops and outdoor stores this spring, and there isn’t much on the shelves there either. I find a bunch of things online at Rogers sporting’s goods, Webb’s sporting goods, Mack’s Prairie wings and places like that. Federal 3rddegree would be a good choice, cost more than the grand slam , but a good bit less than the TSS.
