book recommendation!! Under the Bridge by Rebecca Godfrey, it’s the true story of the murder of Reena Virk that the Hulu docuseries is based off! i finished it in 2.5 days or so it was much more descriptive than the show and gave more info of what happened years later with the case although i will say the show is more appropriately focused on Reena, the victim in this story

i think over the last year or two youtube has definitely became more of a long form content place. but i think even 10 minute videos are still good if that’s what works for you. but us on youtube definitely are looking for 20+ minute videos. just happy you’re back posting on youtube. i do not like tiktok. it’s to fast and not as personal and easier to get lost in it. youtube is a breath of fresh air in my opinion

Carly, we listen to you sit and talk for anywhere from 1-3 hours a week on podcasts...you just sitting around talking is not something your 'core' audience is put off by lol buuuuut I get where you're coming from, a vlog seems like a different vibe and like it should be more like the old days of doing stuff and I'm sure there are people that will be like that, but the people that have stuck with you guys this long did so more because we like you than just living vicariously through you. So...I mean, do what feels creatively fulfilling to you, keep em short and just snippets of what you do in a day or treat them like a solo podcast and just ramble on with a sorta vague list of things on your mind. If you do a handful that are 20 minutes long and it seems like the analytics are saying no one is making it all the way through and views are dropping more than you're comfortable with...switch back! I think experimenting with the format is a good idea to just see what works for you! Heck, you could evolve it into a hybrid podcast format where you spend 10 minutes just chatting about whatever's on your mind and then hang out with Joe or Emma or one of your pilates instructors and just do another 15-20 minutes or something of talking to them...go nuts with it!
