I was with my boyfriend for 6 years until we got married. I remember listening to her songs when he told me he cheated on me and it helped me get through it all. I remember when I finally got tired of feeling sorry for myself and remembering that I’m better than that feeling, that I wanted to finally start living for myself again and as luck would have it, this song crept up on my “auto play” song list and I remember feeling a fire inside me when I heard this song. I’m divorced now but, during my divorce, I managed to finish school while working part time and get my bachelor degree despite the lack of moral support and ridicule from some family members for my area of study and found someone new. I’m much happier now needless to say. :)
