I am listening to this at 1:11 on the 30/06/2024(she would have been 70 on the 29th) the morning after my mum’s birthday, she sadly passed on the 31st of October 2023 from a heart attack very sudden and completely unexpected I am still completely broken for this but mum used to play this to me when I was a baby and at the grand age of 39 I still remember it! It makes me both happy and sad all at the same time!!!!

I'm a blue collar (but highly educated) worker who wears a hard hat to work, drinks beer, watches sports, and hunts, etc.. But while my buddies listen to thrash metal and rap with dark, unintelligible lyrics, I keep a Carly Simon CD in my car. The sad thing is that I feel like I have to keep my music tastes secret, lest I get made fun of on the job and in my social circles.
