I got saved in 1995. I went to his RIOT concert. It was what I pictured a little slice of heaven to be like always praising God! I never knew until today watching this that a movie had been made. This was awesome! To God be the glory for His righteous invasion of truth! And God used Carmen as the conduit to share that message! Amen and amen! It’s so sweet to trust in Jesus!🙌🏻✝️❤️

Carman was ahead of his time were church youth ministry was concerned. They didn't know what to do with him & the youth movement that he led. They missed the doors he opened & the platforms he built because he didn't fit in their mold. They eventually adopted something of his style in nearly everything youth ministry thing & never gave him credit. Almost every Pentecostal church's youth ministry uses that hyper-youth-excited-about-Jesus style that came out of Carman's ministry.

Was fortunate to see him live years ago and helped as stage hand for REVIVAL tour. His ability to minister and reach youth and adults like me was something. sing praises to Jesus Carman ＼(^-^)／. Well done good n faithful servant

I heard him say in an interview about 2019 that it Really Really Hurt him and that the ONLY Christian that was perpetually Kind to Him was Bill Gaither 😭 His Rewards are in Heaven, but it wasn’t Right how he was treated by the Christian world, He also ticked them off by wanting to Make his concerts Free and do Alter calls for salvation, so as a result Had to fund ALL his tours off his Own back, because promoters Refused to deal with him, 💯💯💯

I'm no longer religious at all, but Carmen inspired by high energy and my approach to life. Saw him live at REVIVAL too when I was about 3, and regardless of my religious beliefs, or lack of thereof, this man left a serious impact on me and my life, even called myself Little Carmen when I was a lot younger. RIP Carmen.

@@ladyvictory5326 good for you. I never got to see him.. but he truly served God and his ministry was an overflow of that relationship.. not simply talent and creativity. Don't worry about being religious. Jesus didn't come to give us a religion but a relationship with Himself, The Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. He gave us His Word to start to know Him by. Religion is what people added to what He said that He didn't say. In that sense, neither am I religious. I was very religious.. dotted my I's and crossed my T's but I lived with disappointment and resentment to God. One day I quit everything. Said God didn't care. Then when my mum was 2 weeks from her death to cancer, a preacher showed up and prayed for her, and she recovered. Total recovery in abt 1 day. I understood then that there was a difference between walking with Jesus vs church traditions and consensuses.. I recommitted and developed a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, the Father and the Spirit.. Not one of begging, posturing and faking excuses for what I thought were 'God's failures' as I had done before. Now I hear God's voice and I'm led every step. Can hardly put down my Bible. I've seen my dreams come true because Jesus is a real person that talks and relates. That's not religion, that's fellowship ya.

Have you seen his movie “The Champion (not to be confused with his song or music video)? He plays a retired boxer pressured into fighting the current champ. It’s one of my favorite modern Christian movies. I think the dvd is $4.99 on Amazon.

I love how Carman plays this role as a police officer! I didn't even know that this movie came out. I remember watching the music videos that was based on the R.I.O.T. album though. But the movie had me all smiles. Carman did a fantastic job doing this. I love Carman.❤❤🙌👏👏

When this movie came out on VHS in 1995-1996 (that's videocassette for all you millenials and teenagers out there-yeah, I'm that old! #NotSorry! 😆😅) I was 14 years old. It was released as a 2-parter. I practically wore out this movie!!!!!

WOW what an AWESOME movie and video this was. When Carman put it out I think it was 1995, I don't know that there had ever been an movie/ videos creative combination undertaking like it. Carman was so talented and yet had a real anointing that touched millions and millions. God thank you for Carman and example he left us. I'm sure he is having a great time singing and praising the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven now.

My family lived in Colorado Springs when this was filmed. Carman filmed the music videos for There Is A God and Amen at Garden of the Gods and Georgetown, CO respectively. The choir singing with him during There Is A God is comprised of members of our church, chosen because Carmen wanted representatives of every nation (my parents are the pilgrims at the front). Our church actually changed its name from Grace Fellowship to Church For All Nations, after this. My dad got to scout for the locations for Amen and chose Georgetown (his name is even in the credits - Lamont Green. Wonderful memories that I have thanks to such a wonderful man.

While this movie was a little on the dark side for a christian based movie however the dark side was showing what real life not the movie fake real life can be without all the happy happyness. For me i loved the scene with the GUTS program as it showed everyone from all walks of life. And the ending was just the greatest showing that even those who have so much hate can change with some help and kindness by accenting Jesus in to their heart which T-Rex did after working with The Guts group. Carmen showed that even gang members can change with kindness and love from many

@Sandra Polette - My first time viewing this movie also. I enjoyed the message in each scenario. What's not to like when exalting Jehovah in music... It's apparent when my soul is spiritually uplifted that God inhabits the praises of His saints. Hallelujah!

We grew up on Carman, met him once. There's never been another Christian artist with his style. I miss Christian artists really singing to Jesus and not this mainstream crossover stuff that's more about selling your brand than using your talent for the Lord.

Among his many groundbreaking accomplishments are the top 3 Christian concerts of all time...all over 50,000 attendance. The largest being over 80,000. Was too small to have known about this video. Only saw the RIOT music video. Going into it you don't know what to expect or how well the acting is gonna be. Looking at it I could see influences here and there like the "Rhythm Nation" wave that was happening from the Janet and MJ times and Carmen's acting/ storyline having a Sylvester Stallone vibe which was good. There's some parts in it that were dated and tooo much of a sight compared to now quality. Overall it wasn't bad.

Okay few things. Everyone who is “bad” in this movie is not white and everyone who is “good” is white 💀 And this was mostly Carmen’s flex to show every move you learn in the first 3 months of jiu-jitsu. I give this movie 2/5 streets of gold!

It would have been nice if he had married younger and had at least four children: 2 sons and 2 daughters. At least two looking like him and the other two looking like his wife (if that all would have happened a long time ago, obviously).
