Lost is indeed a journey. It’s a show that was binge worthy before binge worthy was even a thing and pretty much set the stage for other shows with non conventional story lines and complex plots The pilot episode alone was close to $14 million to produce, making it the most expensive pilot at the time, most of it was buying a decommissioned plane and tearing it apart for the crash scene that actually caused some locals in Hawaii to call 911 because they thought it was a real crash.

Seen Lost many, many times. My favorite show.

The trick of watching the show is to...watch it. People are tempted to convert a bare wall of their house into spot where photos are posted, with scribbles and strings connecting events or characters together, as if they are tracking a serial killer. No! Just watch and enjoy the mysteries, unexpected events, random new characters, wild backstories, and of course SEASON FINALE CLIFFHANGERS. You may be tempted to binge watch. That works too.

If not the story, then the way the show is presented. During the TV run, there were LOTS of internet conversations of people's various ideas, but unfortunately to do it today would be spoilers. Favorite show of all time! I watch it at least once a year, as it’s still AMAZING on the rewatch! Wish I could go back and watch for the first time again. Probably still the greatest pilot ever shown on TV. I missed the initial hype and caught S02E13 with friends, and thought it was worth watching. Ended up binging 24 episodes in one weekend. The characters are just so good ! Kate is counting to five because of Jack's story about how he beat the most terrifying experience of his life.

I also started LOST a few months ago (currently at S3) and it's so crazy to see someone else starting the show since it was a huge thing when it came out so almost everyone has seen it. I also heard about how fans didn't like the ending so I'm so curious lol

But "roller-coaster" might be a more appropriate description, you'll need to decide that during your journey. - Forget about the controversial ending because %80 of the controversy is based on some total and frankly stupid misunderstanding. I am one of those fans who weren't 100% satisfied with the last season and as a result, the ending; but I assure you the "journey" is definitely worth it. - LOST's story-telling is similar to giving small random pieces of a huge puzzle at a time and you don't have the guiding picture on the box. It's quite interesting. - As a result, LOST is not a very casual show to watch; please pay attention to details in the storylines, minor reveals, clues, etc... something seemingly irrelevant or trivial might become a more important plot-point or lead to a quite enjoyable plot-connection later, even seasons later. When it first aired, fans were so obssesed about the show they've talked about it a lot, had re-watch sessions in breaks, read about in online, made researches on forums, discussed theories, freeze framed details, etc... as a result writers trusted viewers to catch subtle clues and details in future seasons because they knew even if someone doesn't catch it right away, a friend will help them see or they'll read it online, etc... You can't depend on that type of help which means you'll have to depend on your memory and notes alone. So, keep yourself alert. But don't let this discourage you, it's not incomprehensable, just requires some attention. - Don't be emberrassed to put out theories and guesses, even they end up wrong and ridiculous, we've all been there. - Avoid searching anything, not even actors, writers, etc because internet is full of MAJOR LOST SPOILERS. - If you can arrange a reliable LOST-expert as an admin in this section to get rid of spoilers, comments might be your mate and guide in this journey. We might point out stuff that you've seem to miss during your reaction, of course in a non-spoiling way and when it's only in the way and time absolutely as the show intended. - I hope your episodes flow is stable though, there have been many inconsistent LOST reactors on KZfaq which is very discouriging with this kind of show. Of course, occasional breaks will be inevitable as life goes on but please keep us informed about delays and etc... - It would be nice if you can release the season finale parts in the same day as because they're aired in the same day and intended to be watched as a single long episode. Yes. The very end is very divisive (like G.O.T., I guess…) But the ride is amazing. Great acting, great production value. The pilot episode was the most expensive pilot ever (up to that moment).

Michael Keaton was supposed to play the role. But, the writers changed their mind, kept Jack but Keaton couldn’t stay for more than two episodes, so they hired Matthew Fox. Good choice.

Decent stuff from you, just a tip: try harder than ‘I like Jack because he’s the main character and I’m supposed to’ I know you’re American so you don’t really know how else to think, but decide for yourself if you do. Likewise Kate as the female equivalent. If you like them, you like them, but just because they are rammed down your throat in cliché tv formula is pretty poor. Don’t worry, 95% of people are the same, but decide for yourself. You’ll definitely get more out if it. And good luck with spoilers on here, I’ve seen these lost commenters, they are pretty brainless. I hope to see episode 2 soon!

First 4, maybe 5 seasons are the best television has to offer. It and Game of Thrones share a special place in my heart... Best series ever with the worst endings ever.
