The record was produced and recorded by CARNIFEX and Mick Kenney (ANAAL NATHRAKH, BLEEDING THROUGH), and co-produced by Jason Suecof (DEATH ANGEL, CHELSEA GRIN, JOB FOR A COWBOY). Slow Death was mixed by Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE) at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. Cover art for the album was created by renowned artist and longtime collaborator, Godmachine.
"Album number six, over 10 years as a band and we have more fire and passion than ever," comments vocalist Scott Ian Lewis. "This album will reshape our genre and be looked back on as an album that started a new movement for aggressive, dark metal. We're going to show those who love us and those who hate us just how far reaching our ambition is."

Cory with an 8 string guitar? EXTRA HEAVY METAL. xD Haha but seriously, I usually don't enjoy anything above a 7 string too much, as bands that play super low tuned guitars tend to focus too much on open chugs, but this band seems to be able to strike a really good balance between heavy, chugging rhythms, and fast but melodic leads. Really stoked for this album! :D

Is there any bad albums than Jason Suecof produced ? I feel like this guy is everywhere and he kills it everytime. Trivium - Ascendancy, ABR - Constellations, BoO - The Discovery, J4AC - Sun Eater, TBDM - All albums, Devildriver - The Last King Words, Deicide - In The Minds Of Evil, Cryptopsy - The Book Of Suffering... Eh this is good releases...

Jason also did Ember To Inferno and The Crusade by Trivium as well as New Era Of Corruption by Whitechapel, Resurrection by Chimaira + a bunch of others. Dude is a goddamn genius

I live right down the road from Audiohammer, and I've heard that Jason can be a real asshole to work with but he does get results and it's always for the best, just may not always have the nicest way to put things.

Wow an ironheart used in studio other than KSE. But actually I kinda know it can. That amp actually has killer mid range balls and low end punch when dialed and matching with a good cab. Just that my batch was the earliest made and unreliability of it being cheaply made really stopped me from putting it as a contender of good recording amp in studio/on the road.

It sounds like slow death because it has the same chugging and rhythm as that 30 sec clip they released a couple weeks ago.

I just got into carnifex a few days ago when I heard drown me in blood. my respect level went way down tho when I heard the drummers shitty excuse for using pads.

Studio time is expensive. What gets the job done the quickest is typically what's done.

+Carl Adams | Bassist I dont care if a drummer uses pads or triggers. it's just that he makes it sound like death metal needs to be played with those and not the natural kick. I was just talking about what he said about the kicks in reguards to death metal in general.
