In this video we'll share the PROS and CONS of cruising on the Carnival Conquest! Disclaimer...we are far from cruise experts and these are our opinions and thoughts based on a FIRST TIME CRUISER'S perspective! We'll tell you all about the Conquest from embarkation to debarkation!
The topics we'll be discussing will be the ship, rooms, staff, food, things to do on the ship and various other cruise topics. We'll also be sharing some helpful first time cruiser tips. Great pros and cons review Fam👍🏾 Love hearing everything from your own personal experience. It’s very refreshing and you are so right about even if you have cruised a lot you still can learn something new. In actuality a lot of the points you made was a lot of what we felt also. If not on this ship, it still applies to other ships in or out of the Carnival line. So good and bad can happen anywhere. We’re glad overall that you had a great experience and it was definitely a pleasure meeting you🙏🏾

Yess lots of closet space is a plus. Love that they had the ocean in deck live on the TV. Not the bathroom smelling 😂😂😂 and not wasting the good old Burberry 😩😩😩😂😂 the shower was giving closet 😂😂😂 yall really got us cracking up😂😂😂 wow that’s crazy the basketball court and everything was closed from 5 to 10… that’s crazy. You would think they would rotate the staffs breaks… that’s very odd.. I wish lunch breaks were actually that long😂

Yes, indeed. The bathroom smell was awful, and my crazy tail wasted my good behind perfume, lol 😂😂😂😂. Something is wrong with us chile. Right, I wish lunch breaks was that long. Got dang 😂😂😂

Glad I caught the premiere. It's good that you considered the age of the ship. A lot of people don't consider that when booking a cruise. It really is amazing how the room stewards remember your name. It happens on every cruise, well at least on Carnival . I hate you had those bad food experiences. Say it again and loud the passport is a must. We got one for our daughter when she was a baby. We did the social package which is the cheapest one. We needed to communicate with my brother through whatsapp is the only reason. It worked for me but not for Alex. This was informative.

Thanks for coming. You are so right. They don't. They were good at remembering which is a big kudos. Food was mediocre, and passports are definitely needed. Social package? We may have to look into that. Wow, that's crazy that services worked ok with certain phones.

Chocolate melting cake. It is a Carnival stable. It is spouse to be gooey in the middle. Got the first cruise out the way. You will be much more prepared your next cruise.

I just went on my first cruise with the conquest from 7-10 to 7. -14 . I celebrated my Birthday . I loved it , the staff was amazing the buffet could have been better . The beds in the room were very comfortable!!!

Oh wow! Happy Belated Birthday, that had to be one amazing birthday. Those buffets are definitely hit or miss. One thing we found out is to go when they are just opening it up. We were able to be the first in line a few time and get food while it's fresh and before it gets picked over. So glad you enjoyed your first cruise and celebrated your birthday on the conquest. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂💕

Hey besties! Back to comment! Yea we thought it was big too lol! We can't wait to see the bigger ships! We loved the beds as well, and the closet space. Cracking up at the rank bathroom haha! We loved the staff! We liked how they remembered our names as well! Yessss fitness center! I thought the same thing bestie! Made us want to workout! It would have been dope to do the put-put. Hahaha, " I need that job" lol! We loved how many options they have for food as well! We are hoping that the food is better on the other ships! Yea the internet package was TRASSSHHH! Our knees will be better next time bestie so we don't have to worry about the elevators. TEAM PASSPORT and DOING EARLY EXCURSIONS NEXT CRUISE! This was great besties nad very informative! Great job!!

They had to have a cheat sheet. The fitness center was everything and then some. Chile, I need a job like that for real 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, we are praying that the next cruise food will be a whole lot better. one thing i learned by watching alot of vids like this prior to my first cruise last july is that you can ask your attendant to add a topper to your bed so you dont have that sinking issue

If your excursions are booked through Carnival & they run late they won’t leave you though they’ll hold the ship.

If you look at the deck plans & read the key it tells some beds a 2 twins that convert to a king & some are king beds.

Oh the comment about the pee smell, thatd set me off gagging for sure 😂, and the shower curtain.... nahhhhh, they need to refurb that I think. I found I felt the rocking of the ship the most in the bathroom too, was so weird.

Congrats on the 5k 🎉 y’all hit so many good points in this one!! I laughed out loud when y’all were talking about the shower shape and water coming out because I think that EVERY TIME we cruise 🤣 like who decided on this shape… I also agree that the size of the ship does matter, we just got off the Carnival Glory which was smaller too and there were def pros and cons of this!! And they def keep the molten chocolate consistency a mystery, everytime I get it it is cooked differently 😂. They are supposed to be upgrading the internet package so we will see what happens with that!! Passports are def a must for the kids too!! Makes things sooo much faster….Thanks for sharing fam, love the content, we need to get on one of these cruise meet ups!!

Hello keeping Up With The Griffins, congratulations🎊on your 5k👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎊.My husband and i went on a 7 day Southern Caribbean Cruise on Carnival the Fascination. September 20, 1997 for our honeymoon. Went to San Juan, St.Thomas,St.Maarten, Dominica, Barbados, Martinique, the 7th day fun day at sea. All of the island 🏝️ were actually so beautiful. And ship 🚢 was so beautiful. Our cabin was nice king size bed it was small only for two people. I glad y’all enjoyed your cruise 🚢. I enjoyed watching your video. God bless💯👍🏾🥰

If you go on another Carnival cruise there are signs outside the elevator banks facing the stairs that say odd or even staterooms. We were on the Conquest in February and loved it. Went on her sister ship the Valor in November and it was so dark and…. Looked like Merica exploded on the ship.

Yeah, we saw, but being that we were first-time cruisers, it should have been easier to find. Perhaps put it on a room card or ticket so we would know. Omg, that's terrible. We can't wait for our next cruise

Hey heyy fam bam, this is a very informative video, I took my mental notes, I think I could live through all the cons but that shower would definitely have me ready to get back to my shower. I probably wouldn't drink 15 drinks a day but the package sounds like it would be a better deal drink prices add up quick!

Very good observations for your first time cruising. Yes, unfortunately the "king" beds are always 2 twins. Passports are amazing to have. The only thing about the Carnival drink package, is that it includes specialty coffees and sodas as well. Any of those specialty drinks that anything that is not alcohol, is unlimited with the drink package. Great review! Thank you so much, we went into it completely blind, so we had no idea what the process was. Those beds caught us by surprise lol. We are definitely going to work on those passports because that process was too long. We had no idea the drink package included specialty coffees and sodas, thanks for letting us know that, it'll be helpful for next time! We are definitely planning on going on more, the next one is going to be interesting, we'll be cruising with 3 kids and one of them will be 1 year old...we qot to prepare mentally! I don't understand why the bathroom smelled like urine, but was clean. Did you tell your stateroom host? My sister just booked Carnival Conquest. I begged her to book on Disney. The Magic is DCL's oldest ship, it is even older than Conquest. It was clean no urine smell.

Yeah, same thing we had said. Why would it be clean but smell like urine. Unfortunately, we didn't contact our stateroom host because we were barely in our room, but next time, we will. Did your sister like the Conquest? Where did she go?

@@KeepingUpWithTheGriffins thank you for your response. Her cruise isn't until Mar 2025. I'm concerned for her because I thought she should have tried to make it a nice trip so she can judge if she likes cruising. Her thinking is she'll pay as little as possible to test the water. I don't get it.

@@Taniere You're welcome! I think the smell was maybe because it was an older ship, the bathroom was clean, just not a fresh smell. I think she'll love it though, we had an overall great experience, especially for it being our first cruise. We're getting ready for our next cruise in 2 weeks, going to be different than the first time, because we're taking the kids with us.

Thanks so much for this video Kristy and Joseph 🙏🏾. I had a ❓ about cellphone service (left that ❓in the comment section of another video before I saw this). I didn't even 🤔 about Internet📡 service 🤦🏾‍♀️. SOoo a person is basically unreachable until the 🛳️return to shoreline or Port.. right ❓ What do they do in case of emergency ❓

Of course. You're welcome. It depends on the cruise line. But I think they are supposed to be working on new packages with the internet. This was our first cruise, so we could only talk about what had happened to others.

How are the clubs/ parties on the ship?

We didn't go to any of the clubs but honestly we heard from a few people that went and there was a fight almost every night. A lot of chaos caused by younger kids though. Once we heard about the first one on the first night we stayed clear. Every morning we were hearing about a fight that happened the night before. The only party we went to was the Mega Deck Party at night. That was pretty cool, it was live, hype and no issues at all.
