On my last carnival cruise we had to go to guest services three times to report smoking on the balcony, we were higher up so we got good photos.

We were also bothered by neigbours smoking on the ships balcony. Complaints did not help. We are now booking inside or oceanview. Balcony cabins are way too expensive for not being able to use them. It is a pain in the a.... when you have neigbours like that and the company does not want to interfere.

I’ve been looking at the Margaritaville cruise out of Tampa for this winter but the cruises that I’d like just don’t seem to correspond with the 3 I have booked on Carnival. It looks like they’ve done a nice job on their new ship and it is an ideal layout as it was previously a Carnival Spirit class.

Hi Doug, Morning. Great update, honestly looking to take Margaritaville At Sea this fall. I would give them a chance. Smoking on the Balcony, more to that story, to be banned. You can prove if cabinet steward or another staff member hooked them up with ashtray. Unfortunately, if true, someone is out of a job. Thanks Doug. It would be great if you did a review of Margaritaville At Sea.

On the Enchanted Princess this January our neighbours were smoking in their room and balcony. Reported it to the room attendant and she admitted that she agrees. Did anything become of it? Only thing tnat happened was they were told not to which seems to stop them. Guess they were lucky.

I just don’t understand why people can’t follow the rules. A lot of these rules are put in because people don’t do the right thing…the common sense things. I’m surprised you aren’t on the new ship yourself…you’re slippin’ Doug. lol. Have a awesome Wednesday!

Smoking on passenger balconies is a violation of Carnival’s safety policies, yet it is allowed on Costa, which is owned by Carnival. I guess somehow it’s safe to do that on Costa.

I had to report cigarettes and drug use on my carnival cruise because I did not want them to think it was me! Trash!! I will never again sail on a Carnival Cruise Line again!
