Welcome to the Carnival Mardi Gras here in Port Canaveral Terminal 3! Today is BOARDING DAY for one of Carnival Cruise Line's newest and BIGGEST ships yet, and we couldn't be more excited to get back on board this gorgeous ship! This is our second time onboard Mardi Gras but it really didn't feel that way. Boarding the cruise ship is always such a special moment and this time was no different. What an amazing feeling going through the terminal at Port Canaveral (which was SO quick), walking up the gangway toward the ship, and stepping onboard the beautiful Carnival Mardi Gras! After a quick muster check-in, we head to our cove balcony room to drop off some bags before making our way up to the lido deck for some yummy lunch and exploring the ship. I think I've been watching ALL the videos on this spectacular ship. My son and I will be sailing for his 30th Birthday Yay!! I just wanted to tell you that your videos with your friends were the best. Hands down! Thank you for sharing. We're sailing in July and I wished you all were going to be on the ship. We'd all have a blast.

I love your energy "this my jam" had me cracking up, I love it. My husband and I will be sailing on the Mardi Gras for the 1st time in a few weeks. I am looking forward to it, we have not cruised sine 2018 our family cruise for 2020 was cancelled. We are long overdue for a cruise.

Been watching for a while, love the vlogs, love the mardi gras, love carnival. I would love to see you go on a cruise with carnival where Lee Mason is the CD because he is our favorite by far, and I think you'd really enjoy him as well. We unfortantly miss lee when we go on the celebration on march 12th but looking forward to seeing a new cd to use and i heard good things about the scottsman.

Hi, thank you for this great video! My husband and I will be heading to Port Canaveral for this first time at the end of the month to hop on Mardi Gras for the first time. You mentioned in the video that you parked about 10 minutes from the port and that you would link to where you found parking. I couldn't find the link. Would you be able to send it here. Hey Josh , had a quick question , So the Girlfriend and I booked an 8 day Cruise on Mardi Gras for next year with the same Itinerary , she is a Platinum Carnival member, I however have not been on a cruise in well over a decade. Question I have is I don't have a passport but I have heard I can just bring my ID + Official birth certificate and that would suffice , is this true? & would it be good enough for this cruise / itinerary at the ports? Great videos by the way , have really hyped me up for this trip.

We’ve only been on one cruise, on the Sunrise. On there the dining room you were in depended on if you had your time or set time dining, is Mardi Gras the same way?

Yes it is, exactly the same except there were so many YTD’s this cruise the also utilized the upper level of the palm (where we ate) for YTD as well as the flamingo (the normal YTD restaurant)

Hey Josh- what’s the reason for palms being better than flamingo? For sure curious - are they both main dining rooms for dinner?

Flamingo is just smaller, lower ceilings, feels more cramped, etc. I personally just didn’t really love the layout/ size of it

@@CruiseWithJosh we did, last time we were on Mardi Gras was for the Sailabration the first week of March and it was PACKED. So while the 50th Anniversary party on the flag ship and all the special events were a blast it was fun to come back when it was less crowded. MY favorite cruise director is Ryan Rose on the Magic. He is so interactive with the guests on the entire cruise (not just during planned parties). Rock the Promenade was my favorite where they had people follow them out of the rock show in theater, then sang and danced some songs in the Atrium,then the crowd followed him to the Ocean Plaza, more songs and dancing, then everyone ended up in the club. Never had so much fun. He even went out and ran with the late pier runners in Bermuda. It was hilarious. I wish they had more cruises out of Norfolk, for us NC folks.
