However, there were things we liked better than others, and some things we saw that could be improved on. In this video, we explore our top 5 "Likes and Dislikes" as we review our seven days on this ship.

Glad there is plenty of seating in the Serenity area. That is always my dislike on cruise ships. Looking for ward to our trip in December.

Yes, it was surprising since it was such a large ship that there was so much seating available. I do think that the extra ship pools, spaced apart, really helped. I hope you have an awesome cruise in December! 😎

Seriously after you complete online checkin and before to leave home do an internet search for where your muster station is. The single bathroom doors do have locks

That is a great idea to try to find out where your muster station is ahead of time if you can find the information online. It would definitely relieve anxiety during embarkation. Are you referring to the cabin bathroom doors having locks? This is true. And many of the larger public bathrooms also had single stalls with locks. We were frustrated with the public bathrooms that had issues with the main door locking and opening at odd times. I know others have had this problem as well. I hope you had a great cruise!?

Interesting that Carnival says the room is narrower but longer so supposedly the square footage hasn’t changed much 🤔We sail on the 27th so we’ll see.

Hmm… interesting. The main issue we had with the room being narrower was at the end of the bed, and the difficulty getting around there without hitting your knees on the corners of the bed. Let us know what you think when you go! I hope you have a great cruise! 😎

Im going to have to watch your vlogs... we are going on her in aug 19th.. Nervous cuz my husband will be using a walker.... But excited at the same...😊

We will be on the Mardi Gras in 4 days for an 8 day cruise. Thanks for the great information. Is the food better than other Carnival ships? We have been on 11 different ones and MOST of the food was excellent. My wife has the Carnival app on her phone already. When we got on our ship last month all had to do was reboot it. We experienced that same problems with the auto door on the Vista and the Horizon. Your comments about the food may be why Carnival is changing their menus.

That’s great to hear, and I hope you have an awesome cruise! I would say overall the food is a little better on the Mardi Gras than some of the other Carnival ships we have been on. There certainly are more choices, and we were pretty pleased with everything overall, although were sad with some of the budget cuts. Any meal that I don’t have to cook is always pretty awesome! I 100% will never go on this boat again. I have sailed carnival over 10 times... and not only did my internet and hub not work but I didn't get to see any comedy shows even though I waited an hour before to make sure I got a seat but I had 5 people throughout the cruise that walked in on me in the restrooms I also got stuck in the bathroom for 20 minutes. I have so many complaints I couldn't even explain it. I spent over 4k on my 8 day vacation and I was relieved when i got off of it. I hate to sound like a brat but this is the worst cruise I have ever went one. I cruised from May 13th to the 21st. I'll either cruise older boats or a different line. So sad.

Hi Tara! I’m sorry you had such a bad cruise. We only used the Internet for checking in on Facebook one day, so I didn’t realize how bad that was. But we did have a few issues with the app for sure. And I so agree with you about the bathrooms! I don’t know what they were thinking there. That must’ve been horrible to be stuck in the bathroom for 20 minutes! Ugh. It’s sad that the lines are so long for the comedy shows and also the piano bar. I guess lots of people really like those venues! Do you have a favorite ship that you have sailed so far?

Really curious…how did you get stuck in a bathroom for 20 minutes…

@@jkconner9636 so they have a new system where you just wave your hand in front of a censor and ot locks. Well ot malfunctioned and no matter how many times I eaves my hands it wouldn't unlock and then I tried prying the door open and it wouldn't open even a little. They had to have someone come down and use a override swipe to open it. Then they shut those bathrooms down because apparently I wasn't the only one that got stuck. And if you're wondering I wasn't even drinking when it happened lmao
