Join me on an unforgettable 14-day Carnival Pride Journey’s cruise to Greenland and Canada! It’s Ashley’s first solo cruise and the first Carnival cruise to sail in and out of the Port of Baltimore since the bridge collapsed.
This adventure was filled with excitement, beautiful ocean views, and a few unexpected twists. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our stops in Greenland and St. Anthony, Newfoundland, were canceled. But the fun didn't stop there! I made the most of our time on board and at the two ports we did visit.

This is awesome! I'm taking this cruise in September. (I got that casino deal too) While I am hoping to get to Greenland, I can only imagine the chatter you must have heard as the ports and excursions were being cancelled. Hoydee Toydee Carnival cruisers love complaining. Good to know if our ports are cancelled, I have that entertainment to fall back on. Like you, I'm a glass half full person and would still look at the positive, and would have loved the fjord day. Thanks for making this video!

@@ANervousTrek I got a casino offer for this cruise, so it’s a good value for 14 days. It’s also a test cruise for me to see if I can handle a repositioning cruise to/from Europe. My expectations are set so I’m up for whatever happens. Thanks again for your great videos on this trip.

@@ANervousTrek YES. I'll be waiting. I would be livid too if I spent mpney on a cruise that never ended up in the port promised. I know weather and all, but damn. Why have a cruise at all?

I was on that cruise as well with my husband and daughter. It was one of a kind, for sure. Thanks for posting this video. No one would believe it. We tried to make the best out of it but are still mourning for the 7k we paid for it. Wish we had been on one of those casino offers which would have made it a bit less disappointing. But all in all, a memorable experience, mostly for different reasons. 🙂

Thank you for posting this! I really enjoyed my time and all of the people I met- I felt it was important to try and tell everyone’s stories so future cruisers are aware that they may not get there, they probably don’t need a balcony room with all of that fog, and every person on that ship paid something different, may or may not have saved for years for a bucket list trip, may be retired or may have used all of their PTO for the trip. I think all of the emotions felt were valid as no two people are the same and experience life differently 💛 Thank you again for being kind and commenting!

Thanks for this video. I am one of the few who made it to Greenland in August and was also on this cruise.Your fog shot explains this cruise simply. I still kept it positive also and have no regrets. Yes I may try again, why not? Just not in May. The main concern I have for your video is the security bull____.. What was that all about? Yikes.

Yeah- there were two girls in the room next to me that had to get separated because they were fighting. After I talked with the head of security he said the security that did it were “new” and “a little power hungry.” Of course this all happens my first solo cruise 😂

We are planning to go on this cruise in September. I always say its what you make it. We did a 30(31ish) day transpacific and a good portion of our cruise got canceled due to weather, Alaska had a horrible storm and then Philippines was canceled due to a hurricane. I do believe the Australians on that cruise were about to cause a mutiny and take over the ship but I had fun! I relaxed and enjoyed my time and made amazing memories with amazing strangers, now friends.

I completely agree! This was my first solo cruise without Zack and I left with life long friends that I still talk to every day. I may be joining you in September- if I get a good offer for the Aug or Sept sailing I will definitely roll the dice and go again! Thanks for watching ☺️

Wad on this cruise, wasn’t that bad. 10 straight sea days was alot. Im actually sailing the Carnival Liberty tomorrow. Would due a 14 again, had done them as b2b

Please don’t be nervous- I was just trying make an informative video telling all sides of the stories. I think because I was alone I was talking to a lot more people than I normally would and heard about every story, complaint, and a lot of very nice and kind things said. The empath in me took over when I realized how many people saved $6k and used all of their PTO but didn’t do much research about the cruise path. Our captain was fantastic and still got us through the Arsuk Fjord in Greenland and that meant a-lot. Enjoy your upcoming cruise and avoid the negative Nancy’s- I wish I had!

I was on this cruise and it was my worst Cruise ever. Carnival is going very downhill. Got sick on the second day and three weeks later I am still sick. My lungs are destroyed from the virus. People were spreading around the boat. It started bad when the person had to be evacuated from the boat because they had a brain bleed and head trauma due to the rough seas. After the third port we missed I thought for sure Carnival would do something to reimburse us but all they gave us was $400. What a letdown I just made platinum and I don’t think I’m going to cruise with this line again.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I heard/saw people coughing and sneezing in public spaces not covering their face. I noticed Captain started mentioning to please wash your hands and stay in your room a lot by day 4 so something was definitely going around. I hope you feel better soon 💛

I was on this cruise also. A memorable cruise for all the wrong reasons. When we missed St. Anthony, even the cruise director sounded like he was in disbelief when he came over the P.A. system. The cruise felt like Silent Hill with all the fog. I couldn't believe a truck would coincidentally turn over at BOTH of the places we actually ported. The only positive things I salvaged from this whole thing was Amy Lou and Chuck Wagner. Great performances. But even they couldn't believe how this unfolded when I talked to them. Our servers at dinner told us they were going crazy because they'd never gone that long without getting off the ship. One of the machines in the casino took $188 from us on an 88 cent bet. Plus, the room steward charged us for beverages we didn't consume after we debarked. We submitted complaints on both of those and so far got refunded for the beverages. None of this has ever happened to us before out of 14 cruises. This cruise curse keeps on giving 🙄. Thanks for posting this, so people won't think we're lying or crazy.

Thank you for your well thought out response. I genuinely enjoyed the fjord, the crew, and so many of the guests. It was just like a Twilight Zone episode. Some good repeats and some bad repeats 😅

Again- it’s all about perspective. I enjoyed my time, the Fjord was breathtaking, and I enjoyed the ports we did go to. I also completely understand why people were very upset. Hopefully you make it- I believe either the August or September sailing last year made it so fingers crossed for you!

They made it up in the casino since no one got off the ship for 11 days 😂
